C♯6 ("Piece of My Heart")
B5 ("Piece of My Heart", "This Is Who I Am")
G♯5 ("Show Me How To Love")
G5 ("Sleep With That")

Please use proper sharps and flats. Just copy paste them from a random thread.

Well this is what we believe she is. She can belt notes above A5 non stop, and her middle and lower notes are just as powerful as the rest of her range.A very confusing, rare and powerful vocalist.

The F2 does exist. It's the bottom most key on www.virtualpiano.net . You can hear it more prominently by stripping layers off the section of track using a recording software.

Ok ok, don't be harsh to me I am new here

I'm pretty sure that F2 is more like a dark F3. . . Her B2's are really impressive though Very Happy

That's alright, if noone else can hear the F2 I can live with it. It won't change my opinion that it is an F2 :3

Also just to point out, the F6 is connected, it doesn't hit passagio. It comes straight out of chest. It's not airy like falsetto, it's not bright like Whistle Register. It's full and robust just like all her other notes.

I find it difficult to be told '3 octave piece of shit' from a Kurt Cobain stan.. Since he was so heavily reliant on vocal fry and screaming. I wouldn't be lecturing anyone on disconnected singing or even good singing Smile

Touché.

He was just kidding, Bren Smile. His post was mainly a satire of some people's obsession with wide ranges (eg, the so called 4 octave wonders) when they actually forget about the singing and music quality. Exempli Gratia, Nina Hagen spans from G#1-B7 and her music mostly sucks Smile while there's a plenty of guys who have small ranges and amazing voices Smile

Mezzo.
By the way, while Nina Hagen's music is weird as hell and non serious, her range wanking is (IMO) really really impressive and technically advanced stuff.

That

For real man I think you have kind of a problem understanding sarcasm. I don't know how the all caps text and the deficient grammar and ortography used in my post could've made it clearer that I was joking.

If I'm not mistaken she just thinks it's consistent with the rest of her range Smile

I didn't say that Kurt Cobain doesn't have massive influence and legacy. He does. 2pac also has a great catalog and legacy but he isn't a great vocalist or a vocalist at all. Good singers sing, they don't scream or at least they aren't reliant on it. It every tiny blip of noise counted as range. Every girl on at a theme park would have 3-4 octave range, all the Justin Bieber fans would have 4-5 sigh.

Yes I am aware many men have great ranges, I have a lot of male rock singers in my catalog. Not all of my favorite singers have wide vocal ranges either but they aren't glamorized as much as singers with wide ranges nor do they draw the same amount of attention.

She's a Falcon Soprano, they're like an in between of a mezzo and a soprano.

Soprano Falcon: An extremely rare type of mezzo/soprano is the soprano falcon. A soprano falcon typically has the quality of a mezzo and the high notes of a soprano.

An ordinary Mezzo would not have the ease in the upper register she has, nor the resonance.
An Ordinary Soprano would not have the resonant and dark low notes and middle she has.

She is still a mezzo but specifically this is her vocal type. It's very rare. Aretha Franklin may also be a falcon
