*Blue marks probable non-modal notes.
*Red marks extremely bad, unimpressive or unintentional notes.

Singer for the english band Haken. A very nice voice for sure! Well, the band released two albums and I've gone through both of them, so there's not much to do. I don't think that's material enough for being in the main session, but...

His best performance imo.

Grittier aproach that sounds truly interesting Smile

Quite a LONG song to hear, but a nice display of his vocal skills. The Darkened lows sound (15:23) quite funny to be honest Smile

Totally! Also, lots of great low notes... D2's and A2's throughout the song!

I was listening to it today (Fuckin adore the album), and I noticed some pretty solid lows from Ross in Pareidolia at 4:41. I'm not skilled at getting the note by ear yet, but I can tell it's below my lowest note G2. I tried singing along and my low G2 sounds like it WOULD fit, but it sounds like Ross is going lower.

Didn't know someone made a thread for him.  Smile

E5 in "Atlas Stone", C#5 in "Falling Back to Earth", C5 in "In Memoriam", also B4 in "The Mind's Eye".

I feel like there isn't any need for colours in his thread, anyway - he uses the same consistent style throughout his range.

Yeah, this was one of my first threads, back when we were using the blue-orange-red style of threads. Feel free to add any interesting stuff you found, Todd, since you're able to do that Razz

OHHHH so only Todd can change OPs made by deleted users? I always wondered how that worked in the land of TRP

Not only him, all the users ranked as Admins (orange), mods (blue) and IIRC the range destroyers (light blue) -can they or am I tripping?- are able to edit threads (not only by deleted users, but all threads in general).

Yep! Except Range Destroyers only get to moderate in the Range Stuff/WIP threads sections. You could consider them like a "Range Stuff moderator", I suppose.

Basically, help out where you can. If we need more moderators at any stage, and you're giving others suggestions, helping post clips or pitch things, and making your own detailed threads, then we'll be more likely to ask.  Smile

That makes sense. So did you start TRP? Cuz I'm interested in making my own forum (with blackjack and hookers) relating to alternate tunings, sorta like sevenstring.org's forum. You know, compile songs that exemplify what you can do with the tuning, original tunings made up by users (I have a few), most likely ten thousand threads about Sonic Youth tunings, fun shit like that. What would you suggest for starting something like that up?

I didn't make TRP. The guy who did left a long time ago. In fact, I joined near the end of TRP 1.0 - some users, like Wanderlust, have been around for nearly twice as long as me!

As far as making your own forum, Forumotion is very user-friendly, and if it's something like that then it wouldn't hurt to try it.

Just got it started: tuneup.forumotion.com
Definitely needs some work. Especially the title. What is missing?

Looks okay for a start. I'd definitely change the theme to something else (the less default-y, the better), and I'd add a section to post important announcements. Smile

I'm not a guitarist so I can't help too much with your content, but I'd say try and make it as accessible as possible: embedding Youtube videos or at the very least links to the "Notable songs" would help, for example.

Some lows in the beginning
2:19 I hear E5 in the backround?
There's also a HUGE Mr. Bungle influence in this song, sounds almost like a cover of Quote Unquote in some parts.

I wouldn't say so about the Mr Bungle part. It sounds like a explicit homage to Gentle Giant weird ass vocal harmonies and overall disjointed sound. About the notes, I'll check them later.

Those G2's sound like D2's to me

Also if you listen VERY closely at 8:15 you can hear backing vocals that go up to F5, but it's hard to pitch because how quiet they are. You might wanna listen a few times in case you don't hear them at first.

You are correct about the D2s. I don't hear any F5s.

Yo I'm remaking this thread as well. Affinity is INCREDIBLE, probably my favorite album of the year so far and I find hard there will be any other that will dethrone this.

4:40 - What do I do with those? Most of the notes are D2, but I definitely hear some of them starting at C2 or maybe A1 Razz

BTW, this is what I got from the Mountain and Affinity albums. I gotta renotewatch the first two albums and notewatch the Restoration EP, which I'll do so in a few days.

E5 (“Atlas Stone”, “Cockroach King”, “Falling Back to Earth”, “1985”)

A4 (“Atlas Stone”, “Bound by Gravity”, “Cockroach King”, “Initiate”, “Lapse”, “Red Giant”, “The Endless Knot”)
G♯4 (“As Death Embraces”, “Cockroach King”, “Falling Back to Earth”)
G4 (“Atlas Stone”, “Because It's There”, “1985”, “The Endless Knot”, “The Path”)
