With a bright, beautiful timbre and a very usable range, Anderson's powerful vocals defined the character of Judas off the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Even after the prolonged success of the musical, and Anderson's demise, modern singers around the world get drawn to Carl's influential vocal performances.

The most effective part of his range could be found around A4-C♯5, which he primarily used for the Superstar-performances.

I love his voice, really powerful and smooth, and very, very emotional.

All of his work is great IMO, but I REALLY love his part in Everything's Alright. So much control.

Yeah, I gave the song yet another listen yesterday, and found his control very impressive!

"Heaven on Their Minds" is up there as one of his best, same with "Judas' Death" - Probably has some amazing solo career numbers, too, can't really recall.

The 1993 A.D. live performance of "Heaven on Their Minds" is blistering, probably his best performance ever.
