Are you sure ALL the notes are him and not someone else in the band?

A low tenor with a A4 as his highest full note! We should be friends Very Happy

Love his vocal deliveries in Sex on Fire. Not easy to sing G#4 throughout an entire song, and he nails it, even live...and a cool warm voice also

"Sex on Fire" is a great vocal performance, indeed.

Rangewise he fits well into the low tenor category (especially according to the passagios), but I find something high baritone in his timbre.

You should have said this at the beginning of the discussion, simply to avoid the presence of our charming plaguebearer, Abacus.

No. He doesn't sound like the others low tenors out there. He's not a like a "typical" low tenor. A hot voice, and he struggles with his highs.

Newsflash: All tenors don't sound the same.

Straining with highs will NEVER be a way to tell a tenor from a baritone. I'm the most obvious low tenor in the world and I struggle with anything above F4 in full voice.

Also please keep your homo stuff out of this.

This man speaks the truth. It's the combination of timbre, tessitura and various things that actually reveal your voice type, as opposed to technique. With great technique, you can do a lot of things that are generally not expected. Ken Tamplin is an amazing example.

He's got maybe one of the most fascinatingly interesting Tenor voices I've ever heard.

Exactly right, I know this thread is dead but I just wanted to agree with the point. I'm a bass-bari and I have no problems with A if my voice is on, so this is the other side of what was said in relation to highs.

Does anybody know if Alderbaran is still interested in Caleb? If not; I might take this thread, too. Seeing as how Ive grown to like Caleb through the overplayed nature of Kings of Leon in my household thanks to my father. If he's not; I'll go through the KOL albums tomorrow or perhaps later tonight and see what I can find.

If you do; that'd be greatly appreciated, Anibal! which albums would you plan on doing/how should we organize this? I mean even if the thread was close to being done or not; it's probably good to modernize/update some threads now and again...
