I agree, except I wouldn't call the G# nanonotewatching. Anyway, somebody add it to the OP whatever pitch we decide it to be Smile

A very nice live version of Bat out of Hell from around 1977 / 1978 with Meat Loaf giving one of his best renditions of this song.
Some very powerfull high notes after 6:00 and at the end of the song.

He doesnt sing the C5 anymore on Bat Out Of Hell if i`m correct.. Nowadays its a B4 from what i can hear

11:00 a nice sustained one.

His voice sounds spot on on some notes.. but mainly its bad.. (and i`m going to see him in May.. pff)

Good question. The E5 is from Rock N' Roll Mercenaries.

At 1:30 a strained Bb4
At 4:42 a B4 (It could also be a flat C5 now that i`m listening again)

He does those notes a lot on that concert (B4s C5s) And all things aside, he sounds pretty strong on those 2 songs. Not neccesarily good, but strong.

For his "Last At Bat" tour he dropped the key to Bat Out Of Hell again, 1 semitone ( i believe ) Making his highest to sing a Bb4... and he still cracks on it.

Thank god its his last tour.. He`s like Chuck Berry, he still continous while he cant perform anymore..

his voice started to decline after about 1994/1995. I saw him in 2010 and I enjoyed the show but it was clear he couldn't hit the notes and was being carried by the band and backing singers. Patti Russo sounded as good as always though  Parrot

Yeah it was something like that, right after BOOH II, he still sounds good on BOOH III, Hell In A Handbasket and Hang Cool Teddy Bear... but 90% of the vocals are melodyned.. for sure..

He still sounded allright on the 2007 tour they had, but you could indeed hear that the band was filling up the gaps.

I read he had vocal nodules and suffered from some other problem (vocal cord hemorrhage).

It sounds tremendously...Black! He goes for a grittier note and proceeds reaching the G5, but Falsetto's part there Is very extraneous and absent, so I'd consider the note Itself black... Just because It's an unusual style or rather unheard approach, That doesn't absolutely mean that It's Non-Modal. It does sound rather strange, alright, but It's blackable!

yes that show was probably his best in recent years. As has been mentioned though I think there was definitely some use of autotune but his voice was still strong.

and that G5 seems blue to me

Oh God! SO BAD!!!!

His main issues are pitch, timing, enunciating, etc.

It seems that his range isn't shot to shit, but his control is GONE!
