A standard tenor? even HT in the most ridiculous cases...

Listen to "Flesh Mechanic (Demo)" that's where Placebo got its name for the band.

pft... to me he's incredible... You don't know what teenage angst is if you haven't heard Placebo records.

I find them quite mediocre and boring these days. I can't really get through their songs because despite quite enjoying it, I get bored halfway through and never really feel the need to listen to a whole song.

these days, yes. Their latest attempts such as Battle for the Sun don't live up to what they once were. Tho that one has some good moments the Placebo wagon has gone downhill since... but everything before that is just great!

I'm glad your OP mentions Space Monkey. That's probably my favorite Placebo song ever.

Nah I mean that I find ALL their material boring these days, as opposed to a few years ago when I quite enjoyed it.

seems like "Loud Like Love" album has been checked, however, I believe there are plenty of low notes in the final spoken part of "Hold on to me" (starting 3:17)

This thread is horribly undeveloped, so don't assume anything. Free for anyoen who still likes Placebo to take over. I really don't.
