He does. But this key was way too low for him. Perplexed as to why he would choose that key. It did no favours for him at all! He struggled with those low notes, and there were no high notes to showcase that great voice of his.

Actually, I'm wondering now if that key was not in fact intended at all, and that he may have simply bungled the start, forcing him to continue on in a lower key - the first few notes are very uncertain in his voice? Nerves may have got the better of him? I could be talking totally out of my hat however!

He can have it. I just got a job, so I haven't had the strongest work ethic on my TRP threads lately. Embarassed

Roy Ranger wrote:Hi Guys I'm new. Glad to find this site. Can't get enough of Roy at the moment. In awe of his range and esp. his ability to hit those amazing high, and voice sapping low notes all night long. Not to mention the beauty in his voice also.

Was listening to 'Falling live in Sheffield 1977' on YT where  he appears to hit a top C at end instead of his usual B. Can't imagine why he would choose to play and sing  in a different key, esp. a higher one,  so was wondering if somehow in the video upload process the audio might have changed by a half tone. I think I've heard it can happen. The audio does sound a little distorted too.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Roy Ranger.

It's very likely that the audio's a notch higher, most likely a semitone indeed. That's often the case with these older recordings with faulty tape speeds present.

The word "time" there starts on A2 then goes down to an easy F2, which is already listed in the OP.

Stop all this shit posting on Roy's thread, the man is dead FFS. Last thing he needs to be seeing from his throne in the afterlife is some uninspired trolling.

This thread needs to be restarted ASAP. I'm still willing to take it over since Molandfreak hasn't made a point to yet. Unless I am missing something?
