Gosh, I want to hug you for using that jewel of urban lingo in the wrong context

i thought he used it because in the video they refer to "fans" as "stans" at one point. Idk i thought it was a typo on the video maker's part

Probably so in this case. I didn't watch the video anyways because the first four minutes of the previous video was enough for me Dance

It actually stems from "Stand". Like fans of a certain person could say "I stand for that." But... If you want to sound like you have a sense of swag or you want to conserve characters (i.e. Twitter) you can rephrase it to something like... "I stan that" or "STAN"

3:15 on... I think there's an F5/F♯5 at 3:36.

2:46 - 2:52. I think it tops at F♯5?

Is it me or does she pull her chest voice as high as possible? How had she not destroyed her throat?

IIRC there were some nice lows in the background in "Fighter".

I'm afraid to ask, but, what's her highest note in chest? Cringe

You're right, the intro of "Fighter" goes down to some strong E3s. There's some more E3 and even D3s later in the harmonies. She looks weird in that video.
Also,

this should be her highest black note, unless we've overlooked something.

Oh, sorry, I thought you meant black/full voice full stop. I don't know how high she can go with "pure chest", but I don't really think that's something that can be ascertained just from the sound of, especially if, as with almost everybody, her mix voice is pretty naturally blended with her chest voice. That said, from the sound of some of her upper fourth octave notes, it sounds to me like her top note in chest may not be as low as it should be.

I think her highest note in chest is E5, at least I didn't found higher though I didn't search too carefuly.
But she shows her chest almost all the time, so if she could get higher than E5, I think she'd show what she can. Laughing .

Actually I'm going to listen to her discography, probably next week, so I could give you more notes to identify, cause I don't think these are all of her notes (I mean, she released some albums, and with her tendency to showing her range (especially her higher range Laughing ) there's not too much notes, and it looks suspicious to me, but I'm no authority). Wink
PS. I'm listening "Fighter" right now and I really like this song!

PS2. Sorry for eventuall mistakes, I'm writing from my phone plus I haven't sleep from about 18hrs.

There's no need to check his whole discography since there are copious vocal range videos showcasing his range pretty well and thoroughly... I'll provide links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOaMWlnpQNQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Max_M2mEKss
Lot of low notes in the second link!
Also, there are a couple of G♯5s in "Lady Marmalade" live! Yeah!
A E♭7 exclamation at the end of the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Up6FQuZBi8

I was going to search the notes by the way of listening, not listening her discography only for that. Smile
