Sounds like a very neat singer to me, at least watching her VH1 Storytellers performance

I like her voice. That said, a lot of her live performances are among the worst, most painful ones I've ever heard.

I think her constant vocal runs are annoying. Cant she sing one line in 1 key? does she always have to go from F# to Bb and from C# to Aminor pentatonic? Very Happy

"The reason why [Aguilera hitting F♯5s and G5s in the bridge of "Beautiful" is not singing in the soprano tessitura] is because these notes are hit in the climax only. She doesn't sustain her voice in this range."
Wow, that's one of the most over-analyzing, antifanboyish and made-up bullshit theories on singing I've heard.
Also, yeah, Miljenko Matijevic, nice soprano.

Y'know I think soprano suits Mike Matijevic's voice better than standard or high tenor.

Well obviously he has balls! Laughing But he sings at a soprano pitch and in full voice on more-or-less every Steelheart song, so imo I don't think it's right to list him as the same voice type as for instance Jon Anderson and Shannon Hoon who aren't nearly at his level. Freak If you don't wanna call him a soprano then maybe we should make the margins between standard and high tenor wider?
