Erm...why did we need to reboot this? Couldn't you have just contributed to Prometheus's thread?

Yeah, you can't really have any more than one thread per singer. I know it's an unspoken rule, but that should probably be added to Range Thread 101.

Well I assume he means this to replace the other one. But even if he got Prometheus's permission, I don't really see much reason in making this swap.

We started this thread together with Breaking and I thought it'd be easier if he got the thread since I can edit it anytime I want. In other words, I asked him to restart it.

I linked the following video in the old JC topic but it's gone now so I'll post it again in case no one saw it:

Maybe this helps, I don't know.

I think Bad News should definitely be here too (that's one of the songs included in the 'Low Notes' compilation video I linked to above).

^Edit: Yes, that B♭1 in Bad News should be listed for sure.

Streets of Laredo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dptdG-Zfuo. Streets of Laredo is in the thread already but is marked as an F2. I'm getting to grips with musical notes a little better now and I'm pretty sure he went lower in at least this version of the song.
I'll Have a New Body: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3J3Bxhln_40 - he seems to go quite low here. There's also a live version here which he may have gone lower on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skACrYDPL1Q
You Beat All I Ever Saw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M347-Jd3e8 - he goes pretty low here. Lower than normal I'd say.
This Ole House: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA-gP3Q44ks - might be hard to distinguish between his and Harold Reid's voice
Wonderful Time Up There: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nny5K_zI94w

Note: These are in the low notes JC compilation video I linked to above.

I'm a big fan of Johnny Cash so I want to his thread very full. Very Happy

Nice thread! But what happened to the notes of the old thread??
He had a G4 on "A Boy Named Sue" and A4 in a live version of Blue Suede Shoes along Carl Perkins.

It's a work in progress so we have lots of albums to check out yet. I'll add the old OP in a bit, it probably got lost from the OP when Breaking restarted it. My finals are about to be done in 2 weeks so I'll be active on the thread more by then.

I see "I walk the line" is already in low notes, but there's also a D4 in it.

In the first verse at "I keep the ends out for THE tie that binds"

0:33 the word "the" is a D4. If you slow it down it's more clear. Smile

It also matches the melody of all the other verses if he goes to the VI for that note, in this case being a D4.
Not that it's a big deal or anything Smile
