Todrick Hall is a failed ex American Idol contest turned YouTube sensation now going global with a tv show, millions of subscribers and being recognized by some of the top artist in the world. He just recently released a audio visual album on YouTube (similar to that of Lemonade that is compared to because of how close they released). named "Straight Outta Oz" that got so big so fast it even got radio play.
Vocally Todrick Hall is a master, a once airy 2nd octave is now more solid than ever. His soulfulness and powerful comes out in his 4th octave belts and astounding flawless head voice going up to the lower 6th octave with ease and control. Todrick Hall along with other YouTube sensations has proven you can make a living off of Youtube and be bigger than you ever dreamed.

I run my thread the way I want in whatever style I want. If you have a problem with it tough titty. I like it so I'm keeping it.

Can we just focus on note watching not irrelevant BS. Thank you. Smile

If I have a problem with it, I still have every right to express my dismay over it. Smile

Why are those notes listed in parentheses anyway though? I initially thought you were doing the whole "marking fry/falsetto notes in parentheses and marking full notes in between" thing, but that doesn't seem to be the case here, so I don't follow the logic of your markings at all...

because A2 is his lowest consistent chest note. He only touched G#2 in a chest/fry mix. Same with C6 being his most consistent highest pure head note. D6 was a falsetto note.

Also you are right about the fry and falsetto (I just haven't finished labeling the thread) with (G#2 was chest/fry) and (D6 was his highest falsetto) C6 is his highest head voice and A2 is his lowest full chest.

Edit: I reread what I wrote and it wasnt what I meant, what I wrote the second times is what I meant.

Okay cool, but that's really not made very clear by just having them in parentheses. My suggestion would be this - why not just list his range as a whole at the top, and then below then you can do a separate listing for "consistent range" or whatever? I think that would be much more practical and would do a better job of reflecting his range on the whole.

I can see how there can be confusion. Ill change it but im keeping the vocal breakdown. Razz

Falsetto B4 - 4:47

TONS of falsetto notes for him in this video, but I couldn't pick out all of them because of the harmonies.
