G2 ("It Takes Two", "Us Against The World")

Known for Vocals:
As a television presenter. James Corden has been known to sing a lot throughout his television career, most famously as part of his "Carpool Karaoke" segments, seeing him alongside some of pop music's biggest names, such as One Direction, Adele and Justin Bieber. Corden's voice is a bright, vibrant tenor, hitting chest G♯, A and even B♭4s with relative ease. He has also demonstrated some well controlled, agile falsetto well up into the 5th octave. His vocal stamina isn't terrific, sometimes getting strained and throaty with longer phrases, and he is reluctant to use his lower register, struggling to project below E3. But for a television personality, rather than a professional singer, he is more than adequate, and doesn't seem out of place, even alongside some of the biggest popstars of the decade.

I was really hoping someone would make him a thread. He's a pretty amazing singer.

1:51 - A4, C5, and D5 (Adventure of a Lifetime); 3:22 - F♯4, 3:40 - G♯4 (Yellow); 11:15 - G2 (Us Against The World, it's kind of a shitty note though, not sure if it should even be counted?)

I'd say you could still count that G2. He's definitely really struggling down there, but there's still an element of control about it.

Tonight he's doing the thing (Car Pool Karaoke) With Elton John. That should be interesting for James and Elton because Elton will be forced to sing stuff in the original key. Maybe we'll get something good out of him tonight Smile
(And James of course !)

Sounds like his best carpool karaoke so far. Seems he's picking up a thing or two from all these names he's working with. Some of his strongest lower 3rd octave singing and better control and stamina over those G4s and A4s at the end.

Also, "If You Wanna Be My Lover" should be called "Wannabe" and "That Girl Is Poison" should be called "Poison".

Soz for the title errors Razz I don't follow the original artists particularly avidly. I'll change them now.

1:57 - C♯5, 2:08 - F5? (Chandelier); 4:15 - F♯4 (Diamonds); 5:42 - A4, 6:06 - C♯5 (Elastic Heart); 7:58 - B4 and C♯5, 8:17 - E5? (Alive); 9:40 - G4, 9:57 - C5, E♭5 (Titanium)

I can't tell if Sia or James Corden is singing the F5 and E5 (he's definitely not singing the F#5 in Chandelier, I know that much), but I still put them down anyways.

I'd say that he sings every note in Chandelier except the F#5. He does try it the second time but without picthing it he sounded a bit flat and only held it for like half a second before stopping completely.

Some really good notes indeed. A few very solid A4s, a Bb4 and even a decent chest B4, substituted for the C#5 in "Superstition". Stevie sounds remarkably good as well, all but a couple of the notes with pretty youthful tone.

Some really good ones here. JC seems to get better with each passing week. Some nice bluesy hollering up to B4 and showing some good agility in "Before He Cheats", and even a C#5 with a little strain in "Smoke Break" all in chest.

Sounds like a pretty legit one to me. Tenor tessitura, sounding really good around A4, but with quite a firm weight and depth to his vocals. Nevertheless, we should take the discussion to the new forum.
