Light, agile, powerful. What else can I say about his voice? During his early years he sometimes adopted a heavy and raspy singing (listen to "Ci fosse lei"), but he's surely a bright tenor. In his entire career he's always continued studying singing techniques, so that his tone is improved a lot and even now, at 64, he' still capable of reaching the really high notes demanded by his songs. His mids can be either very husky or warm, but his mixed voice is mostly bright and earns a very heady quality around B4. His ease in the low register (breathy and arid) is remarkable, as well as his ability in extremely high tessituras (listen to "Ti amo ancora"). Although he's best-known for his wide vocal range, his timbre is pretty good too and he's become the quintessential of Italian "Cantautorato pop" (it isn't uncommon hearing someone saying "you sound like Baglioni" in order to exalt some other's voice).

Finally a thread for Claudio In Love

Anyway I think he's not the one who hits that Eb2 in Portaportese.

Yeah I doubt it as well. If he does, that's the most incredible bass singing for a very tenor-y tenor that I have ever seen. Those kind of full Eb2's would be unbelievable to me.

I don't know this guy very well though, so someone else will have to chime in.

Well some tenors can reach even C2 in full voice (Bruce Dickinson, Michael Kiske or Paul McCartney could be some examples) so I believe this isn't the point. In total honesty, the timbre of the singer of those Eb2s is different from Baglioni's, so I'm still not sure about those notes.

I'm skeptical too, probably I'll remove it
