Ok, so right away I have stuff to criticize now lol  Cool

Sleepwalking - so I am actually learning Oli's "skram-singing" technique right now, with some progress as of today lol. I can tell you right away that you shouldn't do it the way you're currently doing it. You're getting way too throaty to do the distortion, and I'll be honest, this method is very very demanding. You're really going to have to dig deep into your breathing, and keep your throat as relaxed ass possible. Also, try and think of the Bb4s as yelled, rather than sung. That one psychological distinction could help make the grit come easier. The first A4 sounded good, but the rest was just throaty gurgle. Work on it, but also keep in mind what I said.

Ragnarok - Ok soooo, this suffers from very similar problems as Sleepwalking. Your distortion technique sounds throatier than Anibals, and it pains me to hear you crunch up your great voice like that   Sweating. The B4s were very low in the mix, but from what I could hear, you were haphazardly dragging the distortion around in the melody, which is far from what Spencer does. The A4 sounded great though, and the Fs were alright, but that F#5 sounded painful lol. Again, work on your distortion. If you're trying to get the sound that Spencer does, he uses a haze of rasp on his G#4-C#5 area, while the rest is usually a much nastier, skram-singy grit.

Sleepwalking:
Aye, I had no idea what I was doing there actually and couldnt do it again if I tried, ALTHOUGH it didnt hurt one bit nor pushed or strained, it sounds that way but that was a really compressed tone, I compressed it so hard that I was able to get distortion somehow, but yet again, there was 0 strain nor damage there even tho it sounds like it!
I´m going to check out with Ken about it in a while!

Ragnarok: This was really hard to sing, it was WAAAAY out of my comfortzone and range!!
Although the weird distortion is dubbed with a whispering distortion! it´s even out of place around.. 00:27
"ourselves" is really failed and the distortion is really throaty although the other F#5's are not forced they´re a reinforced falsetto that´s distorted properly Smile

I´m going to "redo" that one in a couple of days (when I have the time) as it´s a year ago and I´ve improved my high range since Smile

But you´re right, it´s quite throaty at several places!
but that was due to it being WAY out of my vocal range, did a test only for a friend as he wanted me to try it out! ^^

ALOT of my old material is throaty and bad technique! READERS, BEWARE ^^
