Barack Obama

Post  Clem on Sun Dec 06, 2015 5:02 am

Barack Obama:
Voice Type: Presidential (Dramatic) Baritone
Sung Range: F2-F♯4 (2 Octaves + 1 Semitone)
Total Range: F2-F♯4 (2 Octaves + 1 Semitone)

Significant High Notes:
F♯4 ("Sweet Home Chicago")
E4 ("Let's Stay Together", "Ray Charles Tribute")
E♭4 ("Happy Birthday to Usher")
C♯4 ("Dionne Warwick's Song", "On The Road Again")
C4 ("Amazing Grace")

Significant Low Notes:
E3 ("On The Road Again")
E♭3 ("Happy Birthday to Usher")
C3 ("Dionne Warwick's Song", "Hey Jude")
B♭2 ("Amazing Grace")
F2 ("Hey Jude")

Known for Vocals:
Captured singing on occasions during his time as President of the United States of America. From his firm, confident speach delivery to his more subdued and soft style of singing, Barack Obama has an interesting voice. A most definite baritone, Obama has been known to sing on rare occasions. Though evidently more nervous singing than speaking, the charismatic President can sing a stable F♯4 with little strain. Low singing seems to come even more naturally to him, and his rendition of "Amazing Grace" produced a number of strong B♭2s. Hopefully there will be more singing to come from him, and after his second term is up, I think I speak for everyone when I say I want an R&B album from the President.

0:42, the lowest nah. Obama appears to be singing the whole thing in the octave below Paul McCartney. It's a bit quiet since each person wasn't individually mic'd up. But I think you can still make out his faint vocal.

I don't think this thread has to be a joke. I know he's not exactly Solomon Burke or anything, but he's someone of huge cultural significance who has been known to sing. A legit thread seems appropriate.

Will you be doing one for George Bush (either of them, lol). I bet Bush was hitting strong excited 5th octave notes when the Golf War (1st or 2nd) broke out. God bless USA

R&B? I'd love him to record an album of 40's-50's swing tunes, Sinatra/Martin-style music.
