Mostly and originally known for being the frontwoman and keyboardist of the "dark cabaret" duo The Dresden Dolls, she is now involved in her solo career and other projects.

In her live performances she sounds even deeper/huskier in her comfortable range.

I agree, she sounds more dramatic (in the vocal sense) than in the albums. She also sounds way wilder/crazier.
