Brian Haner Jr. (Synyster Gates)(New Thread)

Post  TheDeathBat on Sat Aug 22, 2015 5:48 pm

Brian "Synyster Gates" Haner, Jr.
Voice Type: Unholy Tenor
Vocal Range: A2-G♯5

Overview: He's the quintessential lead guitarist on any metal fan's top 10 list, as well as a decent singer... who knew? Mr. Brian Haner, Jr. Aka Synyster Gates, is a guitarist and backing vocalist for Heavy Metal act, Avenged Sevenfold. Though his guitar playing is pretty much legendary at this point, he is also a solid singer. Possessing a milder tenor voice, he seems to be comfortable singing through most of the 4th Octave and is starting to demonstrate his Fifth Octave and is even starting to demonstrate some distortion on high notes, Overall he has a lot of talent that we have barely taped into.

I'd check the F#5. I think it's actually an F5, if I'm not mistaken. I'll try and find the link

well the melody of the song suggests F5 so unless they've changed annything live, it is an F also are you sure the G♯ countable the video is such low quality that there could be a shit load of overtones and mic distortion and shit.

Ok, makes more sense, I'm just an idiot lol. The G# is definitely 5th octave though; no overtones or anything, as the note is super clear. I'd say check it out, to make sure I'm not a semi-tone off though. If you don't want to count it though, that's your call dude. It has no musical context, but it was more in the vain of Markiplier's E6 lol.

This thread is essentially dead but I found this so I thought I might drop it here if you ever come back to it.

I didn't know this thread was dead Confused . There's just not a ton of material to pick from anymore, considering most of the notes are from lives that he frequently hits, or hit at one point. Gems like the Beast and the Harlot Fs were probably one-offs.

Doing Time Live Rock am Ring 2014.
G4's, B4's and C5's.
Not gonna bother linking because the G4's are constant throughout the song, and there's scattered B4's and C5's.

Every verse starting from 1:12 has some G4's.

Was wrong on the B4's and C5's. Was Shadows. I think there's like a voice crack at like 2:00 that's a A4/Bb4/B4 but I wouldn't count that.

Goes for a B4 but falls flat to Bb4 at 3:06.
