Ramin Karimloo

Post  The Toyman Cometh on Thu Apr 30, 2015 10:38 pm

Voice Type: Tenor
Vocal Range:  To be phantomed!

Significant high notes:

D5 ("Ramin Karimloo Sings "Bring Him Home"")
C5 ("Phantom Of The Opera on Royal Variety")
B4 ("Who Am I")
A♯4 ("Till I Hear You Sing")
A4 ("Empty Chairs At Empty Tables", "Ramin Karimloo Sings "Bring Him Home"", "Till I Hear You Sing", "Who Am I")
G♯4 ("Do You Hear The People Sing?", "Look Down (Paris)", "Music of the Night", "Ramin Karimloo Sings "Bring Him Home"", "Why Am I Falling")
G4 ("National Anthems", "One Day More", "Phantom Of The Opera on Royal Variety", "Till I Hear You Sing")
F♯4 ("National Anthems", ""Ramin Karimloo Sings "Bring Him Home"", "Red and Black", "Why Am I Falling")
F4 ("Look Down (Paris)", "National Anthems", "One Day More", "Till I Hear You Sing", "Why Am I Falling")
E4 (Music of the Night", "National Anthems", "Once Upon Another Time", "Ramin Karimloo Sings "Bring Him Home"", "Red and Black", "Why Am I Falling")

Significant low notes:
D♯3 ("National Anthems", "Why Am I Falling")
D3 ("National Anthems", "Once Upon Another Time", "Why Am I Falling")
C♯3 ("National Anthems")
C3 ("National Anthems", "Till I Hear You Sing", "Why Am I Falling")
B2 ("Empty Chairs At Empty Tables")
A2 ("Do You Hear The People Sing?")
G♯2 ("Music of the Night")
F♯2 ("Empty Chairs At Empty Tables")
F2 ("The Confrontation")
...................................................
*Purple or Underlines mark notes in backing vocals or otherwise obscured.
*Italics mark non-melodic notes.
*Blue marks falsetto notes
*Green marks harsh distorted note

I'm questioning that note at 3:27 doesn't it start as like a G#4?  There are other G#4s in this.

Additional info:
"In the world of theatrical performers, Ramin Karimloo is known as one of the most formidable talents in the industry.  Heralded for his portrayal of leading roles Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Karimloo is a musical force unlike any other.  In fact, it was his unbridaled reputation that led to his performance in the recent Oscar tribute to Les Misérables."-Full Bio[/b][/b]

You can't just start off a WIP thread with just two notes from one song.
I'm assuming you're going to quickly add more notes into the thread, but more material has to be added in order to make a WIP thread.

Oh, sorry I just wanted what I had set there.  But, I've added more. And, I'm adding more now.

An immense G4, as well as a sung-yelled C5 from the four phantoms special:

A brief F#2, a bigger B2 as well as a crystal clear A4 all spanned on this song... Immense voice!

I'm loving his G4s-A4s. They seem to be a staple in his technique/voice. Of course, they are common/the tenor's best friend; however, I love the unique way he expresses them.

Agreed. As a disgusting terrifying hybrid of a lyric baritone/dramatic soprano my G4s have been known to cause orgasms in men (only) in continents on the other side of the globe, whereas my A4s are foretold to bring about a pestilence that will end all of mankind. That's how I know I'm not a tenor.

I'm really tired guise

Since he was also Enjolras in the 25th Anniversary, I may as well count those notes. I'm familiar with the notes sung here - I played Enjolras in a production.

Great F4s and one brief G#4 in "Look Down (Paris)". Starts around 2:02.

F#4s and E4s in "Red and Black". His first solo starts at 0:44, the second at 2:19.

G4s and F4s in "One Day More". His part starts at 1:20 ish.

And down here, one of the best-sounding notes I've heard from him - a clear G#4 at 1:11. In terms of low notes, a brief A2 later on. "It is the music of a people..."

Just an idea, since he's a tenor with somewhat few lows, I'd suggest adding up to D3 or Eb3

Was that F2, or F3? I'm not going up to F3, but I added the C3. The Bb4 was added as an A#4 btw.

also since your counting F4's he has a nice one in till i hear you sing he sustains it for almost 15 seconds

I'll add the F4.

Also, can someone double check the notes I added from this?

I added a lot from this, but it's late nor do I think I should have added that many. Also, I feel like there are 5th octaves in this at the end, but due to the hour I feel I might be hearing things.
