http://picosong.com/6RVU/ I covered queen again and this time I did it in almost 1 take. I replaced a really bad B4 and re-did some falsettos. So what do you guys think of the cover.

the different key threw me off for a second. I'm surprised how strong your A4s have been getting, there's a marked improvement even if your voice is kinda quiet throughout. You're straining much less but that first B4 still sounds outta your range. I'd suggest doing lip trills before every practice session very gently throughout your range to ease it larger. Either way, much better than before

Definitely good. Those A4s are really damn solid!

HOWEVER. I get the feeling you're compressing a bit too much, making it more strained than it needs to be. Try opening up on the vowels more and just sing naturally, don't try to force the emotional(!)

At this point, I'm not sure if I'm faking my voice or not. Also, I'm not trying to force out the emotional, I'm trying to force out the note. Im a shit singer if you couldn't tell. Though to be fair, I am still better than Ryugen

In general, if anything involving your singing can be described as "forced", you're doing it wrong.

ESPECIALLY if what you're forcing is high notes. That can lead to permanent damage. Ironically, it'd be easier to find a lighter way to hit that note rather than shouting up to it

Your tone could use some improving. You don't sound comfortable while working around the style you chose and you're having a hard time to stay on pitch and get a more rounded sound.

I don't think it's bad though. I enjoy bowie covers in general, I just believe it needs a little bit more of chill. Specially this song in particular! haha

R.I.P David Bowie

Post  Metalhead123 on Sat Jan 16, 2016 2:53 pm

I have been down in the dumps since Bowie died so I decided to sing one of his songs as a form of therapy. I put all my heart and soul into this one and I was damn near close to crying. Here it is. Also I have a bunch of covers from last month I haven't bothered to upload, but that doesn't matter today. This week we celebrate a one of a kind man who changed the face of music. I hope you guys enjoy.

Pretty solid actually :O good job! and yeah Bowie was a real damn loss Sad it wasn't like Lemmy, we all basically expected Lemmy to kick the bucket soon. Bowie feels like a complete shock

I'm having a lot of trouble accepting the fact that he's really gone. By coincidence, I signed up for a David Bowie show at School of Rock back in September. The show is tomorrow, but now that he's dead, it will mean a lot more.

Really digging the Queens of the Stone Age cover. Only complaint is that those high A4's sounded so strained that they physically sounded painful. Otherwise, good work, buddy! Not a lot of pitch issues and it was p good otherwise.

I don't remember straining on 3's and 7's. The only note I remember somewhat straining was that unnecessary C#5
