I have learned over time to only record covers when my voice is cooperating with me. That way I can minimize strain in my covers.

Some of the highs were outta key, but those just sound outta your range. I'd suggest trying to go into your head voice more than just screaming your way up there, make it more nasal/thin if you will.

try to eliminate strain altogether, ironically it's easier to hit high notes when you try LESS than if you try more.

yeah buddy those highs sounded strained. you get really pitchy up there too. honestly, i'd just avoid them if they're not for you. they aren't sounding too great in all honesty. your mid voice is really nice and i'd dig more of that shit man

Ease up and don't be afraid to drop some falsetto. I think you'd have a pretty warm and light falsetto, I'd like to hear it.

This "raspy" tone requires perfect control, balance and particular positioning. Don't squeeze it with compression, it won't get you anywhere.

I agree with Devine here. Get to know your voice before making those moves, it really helps. Even I'm bad with rasp.
