I haven't checked with a tuner/piano and I don't have anything close to perfect pitch but I never noticed especially low notes on Damn Sam. When does he hit G2? Also does Don't Fail Me Now have some low-ish stuff too or my hearing is just bad?
Did you examine Whiskeytown stuff as well? also...Cookie Monster Impersonation!  Very Happy

I'm doing it off memory, but I'm pretty sure the last 1/3 of "Tonight" has a couple of A4s and an E5. I'll check it, and some other stuff like "When The Rope Gets Tight" later.

He sings many G2s in 'Jesus (Don't Touch My Baby)'. Fairly blatant Leonard Cohen impression. Starts singing at :28.

C5s in 'Daniel' with Elton John. He cracks on the second bridge.

I hear this guy as a tenor. From what I've heard, he doesn't push his upper register too much. This is probably a combination of a stylistic choice and the fact that he was a heavy smoker and alcoholic for many years of his career.
