Well that's all fine and dandy, but he literally wrote "I don't know if they are 2nd or 1st octave at the end" in his post. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with him only going down to D3 in this cover, but the fact of the matter is that his statement about the low notes being "2nd or 1st octave" was grossly exaggerated. My only purpose in pointing out that it bottomed at D3 was to clarify on behalf of that sentence.

For some male singers, D3 can be considered low indeed. No one ever disagreed with you on that.

Hey, pretty girl

I want to hold you in my arms someday

I'm gonna make you feel alive anyway

does it really matter when you're only chasing the dust

Hey pretty girl

I want to show you all the things in life

I'm gonna make you feel alive anyway

does it really matter when you're only chasing the dust

I look away

dude me and my friends are fucking rocking out to this song, fantastic! great melodies, great harmonies, great instrumentation, well written, simple but more than enough for a great song! this would be a real hit back in the day haha. they said you have the voice of an angel and i agree, that was wonderfully done and you nailed all those runs. overall my only critique would be keep it tighter, espeically in the harmonies it sounded too loose, but i loved it man! fucking great! i might put i ton my ipod.

Op, seriously, just record yourself singing the vocals for this album. The whole album.

And then go find Cedric, murder him, slip a coke bag in his pocket and powder his face with the stuff, and then apply to become the next TMV replacement.

/end thread

P.S - If you don't feel like it, could you at least record "Inertiatic Esp"?

Your voice sounds really great Aníbal! It's so bright and clear & it suits that type of melody very well. And that high note at the end was awesome. Shocked If I had to make a criticism, I think you could have better used the vibrato in the first section. I like to sing songs filled with held notes to practise that. ☺️

something about this seemed off pitch... and i don't mean to say you were singing off pitch. even the guitar seemed like some of the notes weren't correct. did you change the key or something? something about all the intervals just didn't line up idk

great cover, your voice really shines in this range -- this is where you should be singing IMO. you don't so squeaky high (except for that one note) and you have a perfect balance of weight and weightlessness to your voice; just enough to anchor it and sound solid, but also to float around those high notes like a pro. cool cover!

Thanks! It's kinda hard for me to use vibratos in the low verses but I'll try

I was about to creep here, simply to recommend songwriting to you, but it seems like you've already answered my prayers! Excellent stuff, it's an excellent pop song and the lyrics suit it as well. More of these, please!

Post  The Great Heroins on Sat Apr 11, 2015 7:18 am

Hahahah I love how we had DDDiego who was this Spanish speaking high tenor voice and he took so much pride in it because he was told it was so rare.  Then Anibal comes around and has the exact same voice that DDDiego did but is a 100% better musician/vocalist.  Then DDDiego leaves the forum.  Lmao

It be like the equivalent of all of a sudden this other guy from Mississippi showed up on psychedelic drugs, obsessed with The Beatles, ambiguous baritenor voice, but 100% better than me at everything.  Hahahah.. it's funny to me.  By the way Anibal, that song you do in that youtube video is really nice.  I was listening to it all while writing this comment.
