The Great Heroins Singing Thread

Post  The Great Heroins on Tue Dec 16, 2014 5:01 am

Why the fuck not!? I don't have any polished covers yet but I have this one that has been rolling around the office for awhile looking for a home. Try her out!

You seem to struggle with your highs, but your crooning was sweet as hell!

Post your For No One cover, and you're Love Me Tender cover -- its fucking mindblowing, especially considering I witnessed him do it in a few minutes with one take.

I can't sing above F4. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

heroins actually has a very nice high range these days. he hasn't posted any of his high covers, but he has a nice soft control that easily floats up to around A4.

I liked the Elvis cover, but you're making your voice sound that deep in the song or its just your voice?
comparing you covers of last year you're getting better

Tenderly Mothafucker LOL

And, the Beatles cover was great too but seems like you had problems with the mic and the D4 in the verses.

My voice can sound kind of deep in the second octave but even then it's really not that bassy.  There is a really strange contrast in my voice between my lower range and my high range that changes the color of my voice quite a lot giving me two really distinct sounds to work with.  And yeah, I was having a lot of mic problems with the "For No One."  I've been working hard to improve my voice so I thank you for your compliment Anibal.

And thanks Lurex but I wouldn't say floats just yet haha, not until my head voice is fully back at least.  I still got a lot of work to get it to be like Freebie.

I like your voice in this song, but I think is still high for your voice, Or maybe you have to practice a lot more the "I love you" part
The Beatles is my favorite band too! I promise I wont upload more hardcore covers this year Laughing

Totally agreed, and i have NO fucking clue how this got posted in here?  I swear to god I put into my thread LOL.. If  random admin stumbles upon this and can move that.  (Aka Holsety get the fuck down here and clean up this mess)   I'd appreciate it.  Anyway Anibal, yeah it's a bit too high still but I felt like most the melody in the verses were felt confident to me and the high high notes weren't too awful to take away from it.  Thanks for your review despite the misshap. Surprised

edit: and by the way Anibal, there is nothing wrong with posting hardcore covers. Smile

Here is a cover of Kate Bush, "There Goes a Tenner." I think the mix came out really cool. http://picosong.com/5jPp/

Dat michelle cover so good, the highs just need a little work (they are too strained, I realize you dont have pauls tenor so singing with the kinda soft voice he uses might not be possible, but if you can just make it sound a little less strained and more stable that'd be good) and the falsetto "I love yoouuuuu" needs to be a lil louder. The verses basically sound better than the original. 2:09 part sounds so good.

Thanks bro, while I don't agree any of it sounded better than the original I really appreciate that you enjoyed it that much. Hopefully one day I'll have those high notes in sort of a tenor way so I can do a proper cover of this song.

This was fantastic! Your delivery of the lyrics was a really interesting take. You give it an even more innocent vibe, but knowing the lyrics, makes it creepy. Bravo!
