Best known as the lead vocalist for the legendary black metal band Mayhem from 1992-1993 and again from 2004 to present day, the Hungarian born Attila Csihar is truly a vocal monster. He utilizes some of the most bizarre vocal stylings ever, and is much more a vocalist than a "singer". He uses throat singing, false cord shrieks, whistle screams, deep mixed fry, occasionally his clean voice, and many many other techniques. I've eschewed colors and italics from this OP because they would simply be too confusing to apply to the avant garde approach of much of Attila's work.

He has also sang for Sunn O))), Aborym, Keep of Kalessin, Tormentor, Plasma Pool, Grave Temple, and Burial Chamber Trio amongst others.

*Underlined notes are found in backing vocals or otherwise obscured in the song mix.

I'm really bad at math. How many notes does he have over Patton? 2 more?

3 semitones is most often 1,5 note. There are 8 notes in an octave, but 12 semitones in an octave. It can be confusing at times

Example of the three semitones making 1,5 note? Also, any place where I can read up on this, in a simplified version for retards like myself?

If you go from C to E♭ you have gone up three semitones. That is equal to 1,5 note. I'm not sure if that is the answer you want, cause I'm not entirely sure that I understand you question

Do you count C when you just went up in semitones?

C: start note. C♯: 1 semitone up or 0,5 notes. D: 2 semitones up or 1 note. E♭: 3 semitones up or 1,5 notes. Maybe this isn't the best place for this discussion. We are filling the thread with something that is unrelated to the singer

Pretty much all of them. I think they're all pretty great, but the most interesting and experimental is definitely Ordo Ad Chao

Also, I don't want to start any drama about "this is a non-screamer forum", so I'm a bit hesitant right now. Maybe I'll PM you my draft though, if you're interested
