Wrote another song about a girl who i met last week (After the Unicornflakes gig) And i just wrote it for fun, it's about how she left a good impression on me, but also on how i didn't have the courage to talk too her.

Bradphone, my boy, you know I love you. I listen to your songs everyday. But man I'd be lying if I didn't laugh my ass off every time I hear anything about "Bradphone's friend."

Everytime i see stuff like "Bradphone and his friend" i firstly sigh quite loud and then i laugh quite a while.

I've been recording a couple of songs lately.

First one: http://picosong.com/mbA2/
I was driving around at night with a friend when i came up with a country-ish tune about... well, driving on the freeway. First time i used the Sampletank Library.

2nd: http://picosong.com/mbNW/
A friend of mine was singing along with a tune, but he forgot the words so he sang "That's what you get from sharing needles with your buddies" And i burst out in laughter, and decided to record a country-ish song about that.. Used very cheesy sounds in the intro

Last one: http://picosong.com/mbKS/
I've got a bit of self-mockery, so i wrote a song (in dutch) about my body, about how i look like a "droogtrommel" (A washingmachine basically) Laughing Started out with a carribean beat, and the verses are a bit electronic sounding, the chorus is orchestral. Pretty okay arrangements.

It's been quite a while since i've posted here. I've been writing a couple of songs lately and i also think that my voice has been growing on me, especially in the higher 3rd lower 4th octave.. but that's for you to decide.

1: Squirrel Shooting.
Was fooling around on guitar when a friend started talking about squirrels and that actually gave me inspiration for some lyrics and to get a "complete" song out of it.
http://picosong.com/Qnr5/

2: The Promised land.
I was overthinking some stuff about my last holiday 11 years ago and how that's all gonna change now that i've got a license and a car, decided to turn it into a sing.
http://picosong.com/QnGE

3: The Lost Forrest.
Went for a late night walk when i got inspiration to write a song about a random forrest in Wichita, and i had pretty sorta Elton John-ish intro in my head and thought it would make a good intro for a song.
http://picosong.com/QnGH

4: I don't take lies.
About 4 years ago a friend wrote chorus as something he "would later work on" But he never did, so i resurrected it and decided to give it a nice intro/verse/bridge and a solo.
http://picosong.com/Qnpb

5: Quarter to one.
This one is actually pretty cool in terms of singing, for the verse i started to experiment with my lower register and i think that (although a bit pitchy in some places) It turned out pretty okay.
Song was about me just (like now) Spending my time behind a computerscreen.
http://picosong.com/Qnie

That's all, i think the best in terms of singing is Squirrel Shooting in my opinion. Although the lower register singing in Quarter to one is pretty neat as well Smile

Hope you all give it a listen!

Those harmonies are great. Really liking the 4th octave singing on Quarter to One. Good work dude.

I think the 2nd track and the harmonys of quarter to one were the best
also at the end of Quarter To One (1:34), did you say a pull of your vagina? Zoid

Thanks man! Really means alot to me.
I've been trying to work on my voice, been trying to expand some range but not by oversinging.
I actually really like the way i phrased that
E4 > D4 > C4 > E4 > G#4 > B4 > A4, one of my best vocals to date in my humble opinion.

Thanks for the words about the song! Thought it was a good attempt of writing something.

I've been recording another one last night. Wrote it in about 10 minutes.
http://picosong.com/QeTz
Tried to do something with harmonies and i think that it worked pretty well.

And i kinda like my "Vocal run" During the intro: F4 > A4 > Bb4 > C5 > Bb4 > A4 > G4 > G4 > F4 > E4 > D4 > C4 > B3 > G4 > G4 > G4> A4 > B4 > G4

It's mostly sung in the 4th octave.

the C5 sounded a bit yelped, maybe because its in the edge of your range.
overall another cool song Thumb up

Well, the edge of my range is around G4/G#4 actually, after that i tend to get a bit strainy. Although it depends. Sometimes (like yesterday) I can sing a C5 without a problem, but other times i can't get it past A4 without sounding shouty or screamy.

Thanks man! Really appreciate to hear that, because it's a selfwritten song Thumb up
