Rocket Man, it's a bit slower than the original because it makes me more confident when i sing it..

Tiny Dancer, lowered it 2 semitones, and sang it pretty laid back.

A friend of mine came up with lyrics for the "verse" so i decided to take it a step further and created a chorus, nothing too serious, but i think that it's a decent tune.

So, i came up with a simple chord sequence for the chorus and a nice little intro, so i decided to build a song around that.
Completely fictional about a forrest in Wichita, it features some backingvocals and some nice guitars, and some harmonies here and there.

It's (as with most of the songs i post nowadays) an original.

Just a simple song, influenced by Never Been To Spain.

no offence, but have you tried moving on from the 80's? i know you're dutch so you're distantly related to david hasselhoff but even the most dance-pop entrenched synth orgies can do without the cheese.

you do it really well, but even the best artists get stale after they've rewritten the same song a million times. branch out, try something you're not comfortable with. a great exercise in writing is intentionally making something you would hate.

actually that's the opposite, freddie made the mistake of making music that he enjoyed a bit too much and it became the single gayest work of art ever created. and then instead of burdening the group anymore he made a solo record in the same vein, and that nearly doubled itself in gayness.

tl;dr synthesizers are for faggots

Tying the two together, Boy George has said that he disliked eighties synthpop, especially The Human League, since it gave him the impression that somebody was simply playing the tune with one hand rather than learning to play an instrument "properly".

I love those old Analog monsters, but those older romplers (D50-M1) have a charm of their own.

(And who cannot love the DX7)

Did you, like, send the template back after you pitched and he responded?
