Something by a little douchebag called Justin Bieber, it`s just under a minute, and i tried to give it my own little twist by changing the arrangement, ánd lowered the key (2 semitones)

I was singing that song the other day, I didn't liked this version. as I said before your lower voice sounds a lot better. You should consider singing lower more often. seriously Thumb up

I sang Angie in my lower voice Smile And i think i found a sweet spot somewhere in there...

Did some guitar layering, a few harmonies here and there, but i stayed faithful to the original when it came to the 60s sound, i didn`t use a real bassguitar though since i can`t play bass well enough to do complicated walking bass lines.

Well, that`s weird, but maybe it`s also a good thing since my tesitura is kinda baritonish..

Did a slow version of Radio Gaga, also lowered the key from F to C# to suit my voice better, and i think it does suit my voice actually, hope you can give me some feedback.

Under The Boardwalk, tried not to go away too much from the original in terms of arangments, think it turned out ok.

You seem to "choke" the sound of your voice like you do when you sing too high. I'm not sure how you can fix it.

Re: Bradphone`s singing thread

The "You`ve had your time" Part was hard to sing even after lowering it, so i tried to sound "normal" as in not the usual screamy/shouty stuff that i tend to do when i'm out of my comfort zone.. So it'll sound a bit pinchy indeed, because i didn't want to oversing it, and i think that singing a song with your voice like that is safer than to sing it full on, scream all the notes.. and have a dry voice afterwards which the pinchy sound kinda provokes.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you should make it sound better. I think you just need to be more relaxed and open.

Recorded this today, think that i did ok, tried to add some more grit on the first chorus, i really wanted that C5 in the chorus to be dirty, the 2nd chorus is my attempt to sound clean and i think i managed ok.

Apart from a few raspy bits here and there. (Everytime i hit an A4 no matter how hard i try it'll sound raspy, but other notes above and under that A4 are kinda easy for me to hit clean)

In the 2nd parts of the verses you seem to lose your pitch a bit, I'm still thinking that you're straining in the G4/A4 area man
but overall I liked the cover, the high part sounded cool, you did the backing track? because that was really really good!
You're gettin' better brad!

Yeah, i did lose my pitch a bit there, didn't feel comfortable singing the verses anyways..
My strain is in that area, sometimes i start to strain around E4/F4 so that's odd since i don't really have much trouble reaching into the 5th octave..

I did the backingtrack myself yeah, some simple VST instruments and a real guitar did the job pretty well (Although i don't think you can consider Superior Drummer a simple VST Laughing )

Thanks man, i really appreciate it, i'm still learning!

Recorded this version with the same arrangement The Rolling Stones played it in Werchter last year.
I've even tried to recreate the guitar solo by ear to Keiths version.

Think that this is my best production so far.

Here is the live version of the song in June in Werchter btw.

I felt kinda confident with the harmonies on this one so i decided to record it with a full arrangement of about 8 layers of vocals, a simple Hammond organ, bass, drums, guitar.

Private Dancer, sang it a couple of notes lower, and it actually didn't sound too bad if i may say so, in terms of production i kinda like the verse better than the chorus..

My accent is kinda noticable yeah, but sometimes i do it on purpose because for me, different vowels keep me more stable pitchwise.

I'm singing songs in a lower key now, altering melody lines and stuff like that
