Lee Marvin

Post  Zedd Squared on Thu Oct 30, 2014 6:15 pm

Voice type: Hard Boiled Bass
Vocal range: B♭1-F4

Significant high notes:

  • F4 ("The First Thing You Know")
  • E4 ("The First Thing You Know")
  • D4 ("Best Things", "The First Thing You Know")
  • C♯4 ("Happy Birthday" from Cat Ballou)
  • C4 ("Best Things")

Significant low notes:

  • G2 ("Down in the Canebrake", "The First Thing You Know")
  • F2 ("Best Things", "The First Thing You Know")
  • C♯2 ("Wand'rin' Star")
  • C2 ("Down in the Canebrake", "Wand'rin' Star")
  • B♭1 ("Down in the Canebrake", "Wand'rin' Star")

Known as a classic tough guy actor of the 1950s through 1980s, Lee Marvin also took to singing in his 1969 musical film Paint Your Wagon which also starred Clint Eastwood. His voice was incredibly low and smoky which he used to his advantage on the song Wand'rin' Star which became a surprise hit in the UK back in 1969-1970. Sorta just threw this together for giggles but if I catch more moments of him singing in any of his movies I'll pop more notes in this OP.
