K-Ci Hailey (of JoDeCi)

Post  Amadi Dante' on Sat Oct 25, 2014 11:54 pm

Current Status: READY 4 REVIEW

Voice type: Tenor
Vocal range: G♯2-C♯5

Significant High Notes

C♯5 ("Fee Fie Fo Fum")
C5 ("This Very Moment")
B4 ("Come and Talk To Me", "Baby Come Back", "Fee Fie Fo Fum")
B♭4 ("Don't Rush", "Cry For You, "How Many Times", "My Heart Belongs To You", "Last Night's Letter", "Come & Talk To Me", "Fee Fie Fo Fum", "Love Ballad")
A4 ("Cherish", "Don't Rush", "Love Ballad", "Love U 4 Life", "Let's Do It All", "Feenin'", "What About Us", "Come & Talk To Me", "Forever My Lady")
G♯4 ("Forever My Lady", "How Could You", "Don't Rush", "Stay", "Cherish", "Love Ballad", "Come & Talk To Me", "Love U 4 Life", "Lately (Live)", "My Heart Belongs To You", "Let's Do It All", "How Many Times", "Last Night's Letter", "Feenin'")
G4 ("I'm Still Waiting", "This Very Moment", "Let's Do It All", "Feenin", "Last Night's Letter", "You Bring Me Up", "Good Luv", "Come & Talk To Me", "Cherish")
F♯4 ("You Bring Me Up", "Stay", "Come & Talk to Me", "I'm Still Waiting", "Let's Do It All", "How Many Times")
F4 ("I'm Still Waiting", "Stay", "Fee Fie Fo Fum", "Come & Talk To Me")

Significant Low Notes

F3 ("Don't Rush")
E3 ("Good Luv", "Love U 4 Life")
D3 ("Cry for You", "Stay")
G♯2 ("How Many Times")

This is all I have for now, still note watching. It's kind of hard to pitch his lows because his early music has a lot of instrumentation. But yeah, he has an odd tone to me but very powerful and dramatic singer.

I was trying to be weird with it but his voice is kinda uneven to me. Basically like his baritone isn''t smooth, if that makes sense

You know how like people might describe somebody's voice as husky or bright? (example: bright tenor). To me his voice is shaky at times. You have to listen to him sing, maybe you'll understand better

You think so? Everyone has always labeled him as a raspy baritone. Especially when you compare his voice to his brother's.

Low note up to C4? I don't think that is low even for Ariana Grande.

The last time I started a high note at a C4, people told me it was considered low

Low for high notes. C4 is a middle note mostly
