Voice type: Unstoppable Tenor Apocalypse
Vocal range: E2-B5

Significant high notes:

  • B5 ("Blackstream Winter", "The Godz of Man")
  • B♭5 ("Legion", "Mad Locust Rising")
  • A5 ("144,000 Gone", "Indestructive", "Legion", "Taken by Force", "The Ripper")
  • G♯5 ("Agents of Steel", "Mad Locust Rising")
  • G5 ("Agents of Steel", "Nothin' Left")
  • F♯5 ("Children of the Sun", "Chosen to Stay", "Indestructive", "Legion", "Never Surrender", "The Godz of Man")
  • F5 ("Aphrodite's Throne", "The Ripper", "Unstoppable Force")
  • E5 ("Back to Reign", "Blackstream Winter", "Bleed for the Godz", "Children of the Sun", "Chosen to Stay", "Evil Eye/Evil Minds", "Guilty as Charged", "Legion", "Mad Locust Rising", "Nothin' Left", "Rager", "Still Searchin'", "Taken by Force", "Unstoppable Force")
  • D5 ("144,000 Gone", "Aphrodite's Throne", "Black Sacristy", "Indestructive", "Never Surrender", "The Godz of Man")
  • C♯5 ("Aphrodite's Throne")
  • C5 ("Black Sacristy", "Bleed for the Godz", "Legion", "Still Searchin'", "The Ripper")
  • B4 ("Back to Reign", "Bleed for the Godz", "Indestructive", "Mad Locust Rising", "Never Surrender", "Still Searchin'", "Unstoppable Force")
  • A4 ("Chosen to Stay", "Nothin' Left", "Rager", "Rites of Hatred", "The Ripper", "Traveler")

Significant low notes:

  • E3 ("144,000 Gone", "Guilty as Charged", "Still Searchin'")
  • B2 ("Traveler")
  • A2 ("Black Sacristy", "Traveler")
  • G2 ("The Godz of Man")
  • F♯2 ("Aphrodite's Throne", "The Godz of Man")
  • E2 ("Traveler")

The crazy screamer from the speed metal band Agent Steel and numerous other projects that never quite got past the demo stage. He's got the Geoff Tate style thing down but at the same time is noticeably wackier sounding. He's really underrated and ended up showing more of a low range than I would've anticipated as well.

Okay, there are a few things I'm unsure of. One is I think there's a pretty good chance his C6 and other high notes from his 80s demos are actually a semitone too high.

Give a listen as all of this demo sounds like that. If it is a semitone too fast then the F♯2 in Aphrodite's Throne might actually be an F2, although I'm a bit unsure of the octave regardless:

Then also the B5 from The Godz of Man I suspect might actually be a B6! Beware the awful production btw, and the F♯2 is at 3:26.
