Deep Purple- Highway Star

Post  wabba_treads on Fri Mar 21, 2014 5:52 am

Hey guys,

I really wanted to challenge myself with this song. NOT doing it for the range-wankery potential...

Thanks for being a fantastic audience! Let me know what you guys think.

Many blessings, Eric

What can i say... I dont like the tone of your voice and you had a few timing issues here and there, but i still give you a +1 ( Laughing ) for the effort! And the fact that you covered a Deep Purple song, which isn`t the easiest thing to do!

Thanks for the feedback man! Quite honestly my mic was giving me A LOT of issues for that song. Thats why I asked how you got such good quality from your covers (plus you sounded great anyways) I really need to upgrade my rig because for singing like that, I can't use a mic that only has a recorder the size of a grain of rice! All I have for recording software is Audacity, but that only helps so much. As for the finished product then its all mic and talent! What do you recommend for recording for a beginner?

If you want to record Vocals > Instruments i would say:
M-Audio Fasttrack MKII as an interface (or slightly more expensive, the FocusRite Saphire)
And as far as easy to use software goes, PreSonus Studio One, it`s about $179 (About 140 euro`s)
