Easy to find the depressive clip, but very hard to find the vibrato...

Best vibrato: Mats Levén (3:27 - 4:03)
A couple of backing vibratos behind the lines, and a final longer one at the end.

Most depressive vocals: Jonas Renkse (0:26-1:48)
I love depressive music so I could chose from many clips, but this is one of the most genuinely sad songs and vocal deliveries I could think of.

Not the best round for me.  Here is the best I can do!

Depressing Vocal: Arthur Lee "Signed D.C"

No time stamp here, if you don't want to hear the whole thing skip to 0:30 seconds in and just start from there until at least 1:30

"My soul belongs to the dealer." Just one line out of this song here.  I'd say it's depressing, not sure what kinda score i'll get though. edit: I figured I should mention this song is about the drummer's addiction to heroin.  His name was Don Conka, eventually the drugs took him.  On his death certificate, signed D.C.

Best Vibrato: Brian Wilson "Don't Worry Baby"

2:02 - 2:05

I'd say just listen to the whole thing, or from 1 minute on.  That time stamp is just to show you exactly where I am hearing the vibrato.  None of my singers are extensive vibrato users so this was a tough category for me but luckily I recalled that there is some lovely vibrato on this song here.  Just listen to the end of each phrase he holds out.

Depressing Vocal

Arthur Lee- Loved it; did I ever mention he reminds me of Iggy Pop? Anyway, really great singing 4/5
Renkse- Also a very nice clip 4/5

Vibrato

Wilson- Decent clip 3/5
Leven- Good pick for the category 4/5

Best Vibrato
Leven: Pretty okay, not sure what else to say about it. Fits the category. 3.5/5
Wilson: See above. 3.5/5

Depressing Vocals
Renkse: A bit of a switch from many selections in this round in that the singing certainly is depressing sounding, but not terribly good. Oh well, it definitely fits the cat and works very nicely with the guitar to make life sound just totally awful. 3.5/5
Lee: Not a terrible choice but not a really good one either. Lyrically there's a lot of pain and despair the be had, but the vocal delivery alone doesn't display that very much. 2.5/5

I feel like I might be being over critical today, but can't really dissuade myself.

Why are you only voting for half of them?

I haven't voted for anyone else, I don't know why but I just don't ever feel like writing a review. I just listen to the clips and speculate to myself. If you don't want to vote for me, fine lol.

No, it sounds completely reasonable to me, so I'm going to start doing it from now on as well. In round 2 I boycotted Garric for not voting on me in round 1, so Mmm All's fair in love and clip-offs.

But if everyone only voted on people who have voted on them, no one votes on anybody until someone votes on somebody who hasn't voted on him, which would never happen.

Best Vibrato:
Rodrigo/Leven - Jesus Christ what a dreadful song. Regardless, the vibrato was pretty good. Nothing special.
3/5
Heroins/Wilson - Ah, one of the Brian Wilson performances that doesn't make me cringe. The vibrato was pretty good, but again, nothing too special. 3/5

Most Depressing Vocals:
Rodrigo/Renske - That made me want to off myself. So, pretty depressing. 4.5/5
Heroins/Lee - I really liked this. It's on the opposite end of the "depressing" spectrum as Renske's performance; Renske's performance was the hard-to-listen-to depressing, whereas Lee's performance was the emotionally torn and heartfelt depression. I have to say, I have to give this one to Lee. 5/5

Best Vibrato:

Leven: Decent, the sustained note at the end raised my rating slightly. 3.5/5
Wilson: Again, decent vibrato and fits the category, not much else to be said though. 3/5

No depressing vox rating, because the category is being nullified. An announcement about that will be made.
