No, no...

Vibrato
http://picosong.com/eYuP/

Wings - Name And Address

This song is a tribute to Elvis. If he was doing any songs like this after 1968 you'd hear him add this kind of vibrato to it, sometimes. It's mainly in the first two lines in this clip.

Depressing Vocals

Otis Redding - I've Been Loving You Too Long

This man has soul. A quite emotional performance.

Vibrato

Barlow- Sounds fantastic, great control on that vibrato, super tasteful as well, perfect for the category 5/5
Wings- Not impressed, there is some vibrato but it isn't very good 2/5

Depressing Vocals

Townsend- Singing's great and there's a lot of soul but I'm not really getting the depressing vibe, more of a kind of wistful, searching feel 3/5
Redding- Again, singing's good but I'm not getting a real depressing vibe 3/5

Vibrato
Matt Barlow - Nice, technical and smooth. 4/5
Wings - I had some trouble trying to the vibrato, had to play again a couple times. 2/5

Depressive Vocals
Devin Townsend - Nice quiet ballad, but I didn't find it really sad. 2.5/5
Ottis Redding - At times he sounded sad, at times he didn't sound quite so sad. This left me with mixed feelings. 3/5

Vibrato
Barlow - Great tone and just the right amount of vibrato for the phrasing. 4.5/5
McCartney - Didn't strike me as too vibrato heavy but what was there was quite good and fitting. 3.5/5

Depressing
Townsend - Tears man serious tears. This is a tone Townsend rarely uses but it just sounds so honest when he does. 5/5
Redding - Maybe it's because I'm more of a "modern" music guy but this kind of singing never strikes me as emotional for some reason even though I can appreciate certain aspects of it. This in particular seemed pretty far from depressing solely in terms of delivery, but I do hear the "soulful" thing goin' on which I'll give him some credit for. 2.5/5

Vibrato

Matt Barlow - cool but i was expecting a little more 3.5
Wings - like the most standard falsetto ever 2

Depressive Vocals

Devin Townsend - i couldn't cry to it, the ballad is pretty slow and all but i think of him performance of like being in a dream and going like whoa this is my future and singing, you get the point 2.5
Ottis Redding- fuck this reminds me of Tomorrow Is A Long Time by Bob Dylan, great song for gettin drunk to relationship problems and ex's and being alone, great, i salute you compañero! 4

Best Vibrato

Rodney: Very good controlled vibrato, very pleasant 4.5/5
Holsety: Cool and fitting, but I had to listen to it a couple of times to really hear it (not to mention there's not much of it) 2/5

Depressing Vocals

Rodney: Not really depressing, more of searching feel, like Big Brother said. Great singing though 3/5
Holsety: Same thing here, didn't quite get the depressing feel (although a little more than on the Towsend clip), although the singing was great; 3.5/5.

I'm linking this post after reviewing every clip to explain my views on the categories

Best Vibrato

Barlow: I thought you were going to use one of his various "heavy metal vibrato" examples, so this came up as a big surprise to me. The subtle vibrato sounds quite natural and relaxed. Good. 3,5/5

Paul "Wings McCartney: Uh, I don't hear any vibrato at all. 1/5

Most "Depressing" Vocals

Townsend: As It already happened on other reviews I done, I don't find this selection depressing at all. The sound was truly wonderful, I completely fell in love with this song when I listened to it for the first time (well I hate that ending scream, but that's another history), Devin's vocal tone here is beautiful, sounds really introspective and contemplating, you can paint so much mental images listening to this. I picture being at the top of a hill and gazing at a mist-shrouded landscape at a grey morning (LOL I know, this sounds so INFP). As I already mentioned, this doesn't sound depressing to me, but the delivery and atmosphere is incredibly absorbing. 5/5

Redding: Not a fan of the timbre, to be quite honest this sounds way too over-the-top to be depressing at points, but you can't deny the intensity (even it being kinda shallow IMO) of the emotional delivery. 3/5

Best Vibrato:

Barlow: Quite a cool use of vibrato. 4/5
Wings: It's barely there and not particularly impressive. 2/5

No depressing vox rating, because the category is being nullified. An announcement about that will be made.
