High Singing
Corey Glover (from a live performance, 2009)

7:07-7:30
Ridiculous A5s, over and over again.

Vocal Arrangement
John West (Artension, "The Way", 2000)
http://picosong.com/Fbz4/
A strong multi-layered clip full of harmonies.

High Singing
Geoff Tate (En Force - The Warning)

1:51 - 1:57

Amazing technique, tone, and sustain!

Vocal Arrangement

Elton John (We All Fall In Love Sometimes - Captain Fantastic)

3:38 - 4:10

Really nice vocal phrasing by Elton with nice harmonies afterwards (himself, Nigel Olsson, Dee Murray, and Davey Johnstone)

High Singing
Glover: Since when can he do this? Great notes. 4/5
Tate: Er, I'm not sure you're doing this right. On the chance that you stamped it wrong, I'm going to withhold judging for now.

Vocal Arrangement
West: Lush as fuck. Those harmonies sound so deep, but I believe that it's only a couple voices. 4.5/5
Elton: Harmonies were good, just wish there was more of it. 3/5

I stamped the whole passage (for consistency). The actual high passage is the last 5 seconds! Should I edit the stamp?

Glover/Toddington- Might be one of the best "funky" wailers around. Abosolutely insane control up there while mantaining a very good soulfoul sound. Something like Preachin' Blues would've granted him 5/5, but I think you already used in the test round or I might be completely mistaken. 4,5/5

Tate/Greg- lol dat anticommunist video Ummmmmm, nice heady tone, yeah. But it was way damn short (doesn't even meet the minimun lenght of 10 seconds), plus not really that impressive by itself. Nice control though. 2/5

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

West/Toddington- Very nice! 0:16 sounds like heaven or something and I love the kinda dissonant chord it makes when it ends. A nice acapella clip. 4,5/5

Elton/Greg- Well umm, some very common harmonies, considering the fact that the part when it gets more interesting (the ohhhhs) it's other singers... it's alright I guess. 3/5

Best high singing:
Glover - Dammit if you keep up these insane clips from Corey I'm gonna pass out, insane control and very Gillan-esque, my only gripe being it's not too interesting melodically, otherwise amazingly powerful. 4.5/5
Tate - C'mon maaaan, I'm haven't delved too much into Queensryche but I'm sure he has some powerful passage than this, I mean the few highs that were there were good but it was waaay too short to make a real impression. 2/5

Best vocal arrangement:
West - Nice duality w/the lead vocal and lower backing harmony and then the few higher layers came in to bring add icing to the cake, blends together fairly well for a really cool and pleasing sound. 4/5
Elton - Again, much too short to really make an impression, but what was there was pretty nice yet I still keep expecting more. 2.5/5

Don't worry, I switched him out.  Smile

To be honest I don't know enough of his material just yet (as most of his amazing stuff is live) to fit enough categories; I felt like it wouldn't help me in the long run.

Best High Singing

Glover: Technically this is really well done but I hate how he distances his mic from his mouth. Also not really interesting melodically. 3,5/5

Tate: Oh, come on Greg, you got Geoff freaking Tate! I understand he sucks now, but in his prime he was one of the best vocalists ever, there was a lot of other clips that you could have chosen. This is so short and unimpressive. 1,5/5

Best Vocal Arrangement

West: Decent. Nothing that I haven't heard from other 80's metal bands. 3/5

John: The harmonies sounded ellegant and lush, but they were pretty brief. 3/5

Best High Singing
Corey Glover: Impressive control! Not the most melodic, though. 4/5

Geoff Tate: Too short, even if it is impressive. 2/5

Best Vocal Arrangement
John West: Nice, sweeping harmonies, if only done briefly. 3.5/5

Elton John: Very nice, but a bit underwhelming. 3.5/5

Best High Singing:

Glover/Todd - Whoa. Where'd that come from? It does get a bit repetitive, but still... Damn. 4.5/5
Tate/Greg - I braced myself for the usual Tate theatrics, but (and I'm sorry to say this) I kinda laughed when I heard this. Pretty underwhelming. 2/5

Best Vocal Arrangement:

West/Todd - That was pretty cool. If that was all him, that was frickin' cool. 3.5/5
Elton/Greg - Personally, I would've chosen the finale of "Curtains", (although my Elton John vinyl lists "We All Fall In Love Sometimes" and "Curtains" as one track, so that confused me) but man was that a sweet harmony and some very nice singing by Elton. 4/5

Best High Singing::

Glover: Pretty crazy stuff, but the sound is kinda of Mickey Mouse-like(the fact it's not a studio recording probably doesn't help). 3.5/5
Tate: Too short and it's not as if there's any shortage of Tate clips to use here. 2.5/5

Best vocal arrangement:

West: It's quite a cool arrangement. 4/5
John: A decent arrangement; nothing more, nothing less. 3/5

High singing
Glover: Super thin tone and too repetitive a clip for my tastes. 2.5/5
Tate: Nothing bad about this clip but since Tate is (or at least was) such a high note master you really would've been better off using the verses of that song or any other longer portion from that era. 2.5/5

Vocal arrangement
John: Basically what I've come to expect from Elton. Pleasant sounding harmonies indeed. 3.5/5
West: Just great. Sounds like the intro of a cheesy 80s action movie show though. Very good sounding harmonies. 4.5/5
