Didn't we already compete against each other on the first round? Or this time we'll simply compete inside the categories chosen for the third round?

These matches are randomized but occasionally people end up going against each other more than once. Just go against each other with the round 3 categories.

All righty, then.

High Singing - Robert Plant

http://picosong.com/esjF/

I've mulled over a few different songs for this category; I stuck with the studio for the best quality possible. Here's some of Plant's wailing on Communication Breakdown. The clip ends with the studio fadeout.

Vocal Arrangement - John Lennon

http://picosong.com/esL2/

This song's called One Day at a Time, off his solo album Mind Games. This track is quite relaxing, and John's softer delivery only adds to the unique melody. I decided on this clip because I think John had (much) more influence on all the voices in this track than various Beatles songs, considering George Martin's guidance and every members' contributions to each song.

I had to rush a bit, my classes will start tomorrow and I didn't had much time to think about the selections.

Best High Singing - Tus Lágrimas no Besan (José Andrëa)

http://picosong.com/ew8g/

This is a kinda short clip but showcases José's strong and effortless high notes and his bright tenor voice pretty well imo. It's a spanish cover version of Damn Yankees' "High Enough"

Best Vocal Arrangement - Inconvenient Ideal (Kyo)

http://picosong.com/ew8A/

Ignore the brief squeal at the beggining of the clip. This song probably has the most intricate vocal arrangement of a Dir en Grey song ever, there is a lot of harmonies circling Kyo's high singing.

High Singing
Plant: Very good singing. I don't know if you even picked the best selection from the song. My only complaint here is going to be the lack of melody. 4/5
Andrea: Pretty good strained tone there. Not the most interesting selection, but it gets the job done. 4/5

Vocal Arrangement
Lennon: I'm pretty sure only one of those voices is Lennon. His part is nice though. 1.5/5
Kyo: I could be wrong, but I believe this is the best use of layering I've heard here so far. I especially like that falsetto. 5/5

Just clarifying, here.

I think you're reading that wrong. When it says it can be based around multiple "voices" it doesn't mean 20 people can sing on it plus your vocalist, it means the one vocalist performing multiple lines and timbres, or "voices".

High singing
Andrea: Not too great a tone but solid highs. 3/5
Plant: Classic clip and Plant's clean tone as always sounds cool. 4/5

Arrangement
Kyo: Fantastic and definitely makes me curious about Kyo's singing after being uninterested by the previous clip of his you used. 5/5
Lennon: Taking off some points for the intricacies of the category but I did like his singing here. 2/5

Best High Singing

Robert Plant: Nice belting there and easily controlled highs. 5/5

José Andrëa: Solid highs, a powerful, if forced delivery. 4/5

Best Vocal Arrangement

John Lennon: Really lovely singing, and I understand the whole confusion going on, but the arrangement itself gives it 3.5/5

Kyo: Awesome. 5/5

Best high singing:
Plant - Pretty much classic Plant wailing, like Sherick said it's not super melodic but hey this area is one of Robert's strong suits and it's just as powerful and controlled as any other clip you could've used. 4/5
Andrea - Am I weird for thinking he sounded a bit like Chinese Democracy era Axl (at least in the beginning of the clip)? Some really nice belting but I felt like the guy could quite a bit higher and still impress. 3/5

Best vocal arrangement:
Lennon - I'm a bit conflicted here, on one hand I am bit critical for the reasons others mentioned since you can't hear any John in any of those backing vox, but at the same time the way they are arranged is marvelous and to bring it down just based on a technicality does a disservice to Lennon's work in my opinion. 3.5/5
Kyo - Some very impressive harmonizing, especially since it he still does when he gets up there which is a feat in and out of itself, and the way backing vox take a backseat and become simpler as he starts really going at in the lead vox towards the end is a great production call. 4/5

High Singing
Plant: asfgh, forever a big fan of this one! Incredible rock voice, Garric may eat his "solid" words. Butt 6/5
Andrea: Very good higher register, but not my favourite tonally. Either way, can't deny that he's singing the part well. 3.5/5

Vocal Arrangement
Lennon: I'm not sure how to rank this based on the arrangement, considering that John's only one of the many voices here, but his own part sounds so sweet. This situations begs for balance. 3/5
Kyo: So very intense. 4/5

Best high singing:

Plant: Classic Plant wailing. Not much else to say about it. 4/5
Andrëa: Pretty much what Timi said. 3/5

Best vocal arrangement:

Lennon: Gorgeous arrangement, but not Lennon is only one of the voices that make it great. 3/5
Kyo: Powerful, and a nice fit for the category. 4/5

Best high singing:

Plant: A good fit for this category, but as Rodney said, the lack of melody hurts it, as well as the fact that I'm not a huge fan of Plant's highs. 4/5
Andrea: A pretty good fit for the category, but I really dislike this dude's tone. 3.5/5

Best vocal arrangement:

Lennon: The arrangement itself isn't particularly impressive. Consdiering it's not even him signing the backing vocals it's just not a good fit for the category. 2/5
Kyo: Great stuff. might've been a 5 if I could hear what was going on a bit more clearly. 4.5/5

Robert Plant/Holsety- Who else than one of the fathers of hard rock wailing for high notes? Impressive as fuck note and sound. 4/5

Faggot de Oz/Shikkaku- Another rocktenor wailer. You know, I don't actually find this guy's tone to be that annoying or whiny as some other people think. The piss easy highs are truly impressive, but I find Plant's one to be more impressive than this one. 3,5/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lennon/Holsety- Really digging Lennon's soft tone here. The fact that pretty much all the backing vocals were made by a choir drifts a little from the purpose here, but it still very enjoyable and well directed harmony. It gains complexity halfway through the clip. 3,5/5

Kyo/Shikakku- Sounds like a one huge choir of Japanesse sensitive music tenors, which I guess it's a good thing. Some of those highs notes seem unbelievable (as always). I found John's to be more tasteful, but being this all the same singer and having more intrincate arrangements, it gets the upper hand 4/5
