Best High Singing: Tori Amos
Brilliant vocal from a brilliant song. Vocal to listen to is 2:37-3:12.

Best Vocal Arrangement: Lisa Gerrard
A vocal I can't give justice to. Vocal to listen to is 0:00-2:00 (which actually is everything I wanted to show)

High Singing
Gnecco: Using "singing" a bit loosely. I would've gone with much better stuff from him, but that note is just scathing. Actually now that I think about it, pretty much all of his highs seem to be screams anyway. Hm. 3.5/5
Amos: Pretty nice, but it bores me a little bit sadly. Nevertheless, like that integrated classical technique again. 3/5

Vocal Arrangement
Smith: Really like the singing here, but it's light on the arrangement aspect. Harmonies were good though. 2.5/5
Gerrard: Is that just her? Damn that's some incredible stuff. I've heard her create lush soundscapes with just one voice before, this is just outstanding. 5/5

High singing:

Jimmy Gnecco - impressive and emotional, but on the other hand sounds kinda painful. 3.5/5

Tori Amos - also impressive, but gets a little bit boring after a while. 4/5

Best arrangement:

Todd Smith - cool fragment, but not much backing vocals nor playing with harmonies, besides a short moment or two. 3/5

Lisa Gerrard - oh god, that was beautiful and sick at the same time. 5/5

High singing
Gnecco: While this was more of an isolated note I dug the tone and intensity quite a bit. 3.5/5
Amos: Cool stuff here, not sure if it's the Amos choice I would've made but she gets that cool sirenic sound she did so well on that album. Her phrasing is top notch and as distinctive as ever here too. 4/5

Vocal arrangement
Smith: Ah another Patton disciple. Anyways I thought this was a pretty nice arrangement and delivered in quite a smooth fashion. 3.5/5
Gerrard: Absolutely perfect choice for this category. Lisa delivers again! 5/5

Best High Singing

Gnecco: The tone, sustain, distortion and emotional delivery was incredible, but it's a real pity that this clip is really short. I would love to hear that guy doing that inside a "more complete" melody line. 3/5

Amos: I can't resist and I had to listen to the whole song Very Happy . I still thank you for introducing me to her, Saint. Great song!!! On the clip itself: nice usage of the "classical" sound, she keeps it pretty well and with an impressive consistence. Shame it's kinda short too. 4/5

Best Vocal Arrangement

Smith: I really dig the sound, the Patton influences on him are shown quite explicity. There isn't much of "embelishments" on the arrangement though. Still, really nice. 3/5

Gerrard: Godlike. 5/5

Best high singing:
Gnecco: It's a bit out of (musical) context, but I like it. Plus it's live! 3.5/5
Amos: I love that song and that passage In Love Great operatic singing; not my favorite by her, because there's more exciting stuff like "Cornflake Girl" or the live performances of "Sugar", "Cruel", "Purple Rain", "Winter", etc., but this is still really good. I also suggest to listen to the whole song. Builds up quite nicely and the repetition of that passage sounds much less unnecessary, IMO. 4.5/5.
Best vocal arrangement:
Smith: Cool! 4/5
Gerrard: Oh wow. She is an orchestra Surprised 5/5

High Singing
Gnecco: Holy. Motherfucking. Shit. "Singing" or not, holy shit. 5/5
Amos: Super. Additional props for a great song, I'm glad to see so much great music being featured here. 4.5/5

Vocal Arrangement
Smith: Quite light on the "arrangements side", but that's some great singing on top of a wonderful song. The synth fade-in was so enjoyable. 4/5
Gerrard: Saint, you rock these category picks. Amazing song, amazing singing, amazing arrangement... Amazing everything. 5/5

Best high singing:

Gnecco: That note is amazing. If the category was "best high note" this would have been a perfect fit. But it isn't. 3.5/5
Amos: High singing used well in a good song. 4/5

Best vocal arrangement:

Smith: What the others have said. Light on the arrangements side, but good harmonies. 3.5/5
Gerrard: Perfect fit. 5/5

Best high singing:

Gnecco: As others have said, it's on the line between singing and just being a pure scream, but it's cool nonetheless. Would've worked better when the sustained note category comes up, but Gnecco has a lot of notes for that. 3.5/5
Amos: very cool singing. 4/5

Best vocal arrangement:

Smith: Quite pleasant, but a bit too simple. 3.5/5
Gerrard: Amazing. Love it. 5/5

Gnecco/full voice- Well yeah, one wicked sounding sustained F5 with intense vibrato. Would love to hear that tone do some actual melodic singing. 3/5

Tori/Saint 1000names- Nice spacious odd sounding highs. Manages to create atmosphere very well. I was kinda hoping for a higher more challanging thing at some moment but whatever. 3,5/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Todd Smith/full voice- Well, 90% percent of that was the same lead melody doubletracked at some parts. Very few harmony hear and not really interesting at all. Liked his Manson/Jonathan Davis esque tone and delivery, but well, the clip just doesn't fit the category. 1,5/5

Gerrard/El Santo- Some nice Gregorian like drone singing. Nice to hear some traditional stuff in here. The arrangements aren't massive or very complex, but it has that both peaceful and overwhelming feel to it. 4/5
