High Singing:

Agnete M. Kirkevaag with her crazy highs from "Breaker of Worlds" (please ignore those screams in the background, they aren't her!)

http://picosong.com/e3Zq/

Vocal arrangement:

Anneke van Giersbergen and her haunting vocals from Ayreon's "Age of Shadows".

High Singing
Wolf: Nice highs, wish there were more of them. 3/5
Kirkevaag: Well, that was unexpected. Those C6s were really something. 4/5

Vocal Arrangement
Martel: Harmonies were good, they served their purpose well. Just nothing special imo. Singing was top notch though. 3/5
Anneke: I've always loved this section. Anneke has just such a lovely voice, she really does sound like a chorus of angels. No homo. 4.5/5

Best high singing
Agnete: This was pretty freaky. Definitely a clip that gets points for shock value of pitch and delivery alone. 4/5
Wolf: Loved this. Classic hard rock style belting man! 4.5/5

Best vocal arrangement
Anneke: While I'm a bit biased with Anneke I can't see anything that's not awesome about this clip. Love the back and forth voices with the way they're panned. 5/5
Martel: Harmonies worked well here and the singing was good. Didn't blow me away though. 3.5/5

Best High Singing

Wolf: Not my think favorite of sound, it's well done. The highest note was really good and I like that shaky vibrato he adds to some notes Smile 3/5

Kirkevaag: Do you never listens to male vocalists? Well on her vocals: I'm really not a fan of the "operatic" style that she is using, but the usage of really high notes (you don't see much female singers use notes that high so well) was unexpectedly good. The melody was very creative too. 3,5/5

Best Vocal Arrangement

Martel: The sound was cool, that guy's vocals are good, the melody is enjoyable, but other than some really brief vocal harmonies, there weren't much to fit this category. 2,5/5

Giersbergen: Oh Anneke In Love . She is my favorite female singer (pretty much tied with Marcela Bovio) exactly because she isn't the kind of the female vocalists that you mostly hear on the metal scene: completely unoriginal sound-alikes "opera sirens". She has an absolutely beautiful vocal timbre, she writes really great vocal lines, don't overuse the "classical" sound and has a whole lot of criative vocal moments like this. On the clip itself, it's a pretty good choice (even that it isn't exactly my favorite vocal moment from her). 4,5/5

Best high singing:
Wolf - I just listened to this song for the first time fairly recently oddly enough, and damn that B♭5 honestly startled me, really strong belting tone and carries very well even when he gets way up there. 4/5
Agnete - Well this was quite "out there", and I appreciated it for that reason quite a bit, such a unique section that gets some really surprising notes up there with an interesting sort of delivery. 4/5

Best vocal arrangement:
Martel - Okay harmonies, nothing really interesting beyond that. 2.5/5
Anneke - Man what a great section, really nice use of call and response let alone the great harmonies, just a great arrangement all around that really stands out in this category. 5/5

High Singing
Wolf: I've always had a soft spot for Zeppelin-clones and this ain't no worse than that. Freaky high singing and not that bad-sounding of a song either. 4.5/5
Kirkevaag: This is wicked as well. Intense. 4/5

Vocal Arrangement
Martel: Rather ordinary harmonies, perfectly suited for the song. I was expecting a song WAY worse than this, but it's not all that bad, plus the vocal is obviously expertly done.
Anneke: Very interesting. I really enjoy this passage, as I wasn't expecting such soft, emotional delivery. Great singing and songwriting. 4.5/5

Best high singing:

Wolf: Love the vibrato, and that final note was rather amazing. 4/5
Kirkevaag: Sure, it's pretty darn high, but I also found this pretty darn annoying. 3/5

Best vocal arrangement:

Martel: Nice. The vocal sound is great and the harmonies suit the song well. The arrangement itself isn't all that interesting, though. 2.5/5
van Giersbergen: Here the arrangement IS interesting. Great. 4.5/5

Lenny/GT- Wow, I've never heard repeated F5s sung with such easiness and control before, and that Bb5 at the end was just insane, extremely agile for such a high notes. Truly a great technique and a very tasteful clean tone. 4,5/5

Agnete/Rune- Wow, just when I though that D6 couldn't be outmatched she goes up to E6 at the end. Great control and agility here too, plus I really dig her delivery totally fits the Arab like melody. Guess it's a tie, both clips were insane!. 4,5/5

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Martel/GT- Really nice poppy harmonies, plus I love the tone on his voice, and that "doooown" at the beginning sounds fantastic. Guess it wasn't necesary to extend the clip so much since there isn't really many multiple voices or arrangement after the first half. 3,5/5

Anneke/Rune- Excellent tone and I love the way the different vocals line complement themselves at different times creating a very Canon-ish feel. A very interesting, original arrangement and one of the best I've heard so far in this round. 5/5
