Aw fuck...
Well, here's mine

Best Distorted Tone:
Mikael Åkerfeldt - "Ghost of Perdition"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxH2UAfz24s (0:00-1:06)
Åkerfeldt's tone here is pure evil. Not only is it one of his most powerful performances using growling/distortion, it's also what I feel to be him pushing himself to his limit with his distorted vocals here. It's no wonder that it was threatening to destroy his voice.

Best Soft Vocals:
Jon Anderson - "Yesterday and Today" (0:00-2:06)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sjg5hU9r3lo
Very soft and light vocals by Anderson, getting very airy, almost falsetto sounding. Beautiful performance, with the soft vocals fitting in perfectly with the ballad sound of the song.

Best Soft Vocals:
Damian Wilson, who is a master of clean singing  Very Happy
http://youtu.be/OwNw4XLYpKQ (0:35 - 1:42)
In this headspace song, his vocals build with intensity. They start with a very controlled and smooth tonality.

Best Distortion:
Nils  Yeah!

Best distortion
Akerfeldt: Always loved Mikael's harsh tone, and this is a very good example of it. While I might've used something like The Grand Conjuration myself I think this is a pretty great clip regardless. 4/5
Frykdahl: This is such a relentless vocal performance! Great delivery and tone. 4/5

Best soft singing
Anderson: Very pleasant singing. Relaxed and emotive with that classic Anderson tone. 4/5
Wilson: Damian is really effortless with this kind of technique and while his voice strikes me as a bit odd I can't fault his singing. This clip is no exception. 4/5

Best distorted tone:
Akerfeldt - I always consider Mikeal's growls pretty solid w/ a nice rounded guttural sound that doesn't get too ridiculous, and this track shows it well. 4/5
Uncle Nils - Very unique sound that almost seems Patton-esque at times, he's quite all over the place in terms of delivery but in the most suitable and best way possible. 4/5

Best soft singing:
Anderson - Jon's light voice is definitely well suited for this, a very nice tone with a soothing melody to back it up. 4/5
Wilson - Some good melodic stuff here and his cadence carries the song well, even tho I didn't find the passage super interesting. 3.5/5

Distorted singing
Akertfeldt: I'm really familiar with this clip by now. Pretty much unparalleled as far as growls go. 4.5/5
Frykdahl: Monstrous, creepy, very powerful. This guy just continues to impress me. 4/5

Soft singing
Anderson: Fits the criteria pretty much perfectly, great job! Very light and quite a relaxing tone. 4.5/5
Wilson: I was totally going to suggest to you Threshold's "Mansion" for this category, but this is pretty good too. Quite agile while maintaining that soft tone. 4/5

Best distorted tone:

(1)  Keith/Åkerfeldt  -  Not the biggest fan of harsh vocals, but for what it is, this is very well done. Works well in the context of the song, too. 4/5
(2) Adoney/Frykdahl  -  Pretty much the same as above. 4/5

Best soft singing:

(1) Keith/Anderson - Beautiful tone, and melody. 4/5
(2) Adoney/Wilson - Very pleasant sound. Like it. 4/5

Best Distorted Tone

Akerfeldt: Pretty much my favorite death growl of all time, sounds simply sick. The problem is that it sounds kinda pale in comparision to Adon's clip. 4/5

Freakdahl: Lol, that was derranged! I really dig his tone (I agree with Sandblasted with the comparision he made between him and Patton, you definitely hear some ressemblance between and Patton both on the delivery and tone. The "motor mouth" vocals sound a bit awkward IMO, the dryer sound isn't as great to hear as the "mixed growl" kind of tone he is using earlier. Still, amazing performance, very original usage of distorted/harsh vocals here. BTW, all of their music videos are as crazy and abstract as this? lol 4,5/5

Best Soft Singing

Anderson: This guy was made for this category Very Happy . Really pleasant and "cute" sound. Very great melody too. 4/5

Wilson: Other really great example of soft vocals, Damian explores the softer side of his Robert Plant-esque voice pretty well. 4/5

Best distorted tone:

Åkerfeldt: Very cool sound on the growls. 4/5
Frykdahl: Some of it was cool, some of it was like the Cookie Monster's demented twin. 3.5/5

Best use of soft singing:

Anderson: Nice soft vox, but kind of awkward for me. 3.5/5
Wilson: Very pleasant and tasteful soft vocals. 4/5
