A hybrid of Jim Morrison and Elvis Presley, Glenn's got some ultra-chesty screams up there. It sounds like he gets a very forced overdrive C5 on "Snakes of Christ".

I'm actually really surprised by how light and easy some of this guy's >B♭4 highs are. Do we all agree about those lows, though?

Edit: Also, aren't those "falsetto D5s" from "Wotan's Procession" actually (kinda faint) D4s? I can't hear them as anything else.

Okay quick question...is this guy a high baritone, baritenor, or low tenor?  My question is mainly due to the fact that I've seen this changed on him a few times.  e.e

I'd go with baritenor.

Here's a great version of Mother:

I don't know why, but "Sistinas" sounds perfect for a Porn movie...

What do you guys think of his voice?  Timi writes "a hybrid of Jim and Elvis" and I can definitely hear that on "Mother" but then you guys write "lol timi way too generous."  Well why do you say that?  What is wrong with his voice that makes that way too generous?  Is it just because no one could be that good or is he a technically limited singer?

They were joking, as Glenn's recently been screaming his ass off instead of singing his old way. Man, back in the day, though:

Was listening to Mother today and I noticed:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgSn0SbQJQI << doesnt the scream at 3:07 goes a little bit higher than B4? When he shouts "my wOOOoorld" maybe it reaches C5 or even C#5, maybe not, dont know, its kinda weird, what do you guys think?

It's a flat C5, sort of.

why isnt there information from the misfits era? I have a strong doubt on glenns range when he was in his 20s... I hope someone help me comfirm if the lowest note in "angelfuck" http://open.spotify.com/track/2XIYfFRlUT5LfGV0PPBPKh is a F2, and the highest is an A3

You're question is confusing, but I'll say this: this thread is old and outdated. It's probably missing a lot of notes as well. Thing is, the person who originally made the thread closed their account so now it can't be edited. We need to actually redo this thread

Actually, nope, it's not that "outdated" at all as I went through most of his discography very precisely while creating the video, and Glenn hasn't really released much at all since then.

F3-A4. His vocal range during The Misfits-era was not as vast as it proved to be after going solo, or he chose not to showcase it the same way. (Taking into account that they were an energetic punk band after all, the vocal often leaves less space in terms of lower register singing)
