Denny Laine is a musician most noted for co-founding the first incarnation of the Moody Blues and later joining Paul McCartney's Wings and playing with them until they broke up. He also has his own solo projects which he started soon after leaving the 'Moodies'. I have to look more into his albums like Ahh Laine and Japanese Tears, but I've looked at his Holly Days project and I'm getting better at telling him apart from Paul in Wings shows outside of live performances.

Disclaimer: The listing of notes in backing vocals in songs like "Girlfriend" and "Don't Let it Bring You Down" are educated guesses based on what I know about Paul and Denny's voices respectively. I find Laine's harmonies more twangy and soulful like a female soul singer or something.

I always liked his voice on "Go Now", but I'm not sad that Hayward took over his spot as lead singer.

He actually had a single called 'Say You Don't Mind' before he joined Wings. I first heard of it through Colin Blunstone, though.

I love you  I remember being surprised when I first saw footage of him performing Go Now, because he sounded so passionate I expected a more visually intense performance, but he just stood casually in front of his mic looking almost bored!
