I wouldn't use the word "great" to describe anything about this guy's voice. Cringe

Listening to him sing ''Let Her Go'' in a couple of live clips, he seems to switch into head/mix voice around D4, I find that very strange :/

Can I just ask, why you dislike him? I know I made the OP, but in retrospect, I actually can't stand his music.

It's nothing deep; I just dislike that awful song "Let Her Go" so much that my antipathy extends to him as well.

Spoiler:
I also don't like the way he sings. It's got this precious / affected quality to it

I know what you mean about the ''precious/affected'' quality of his voice. If you tried listening to entire album of him singing like that (which he does), you'd want to tear your ears off sometimes.

My brother played "Let Her Go" in the car today and my first thought was "is that a human being singing, or a rat on MDMA?" Jesus jacked-up christ on a graham cracker, this guy has the most whiny, annoying voice I've ever had the misfortune of hearing...

The saddest part is the guy admits that he sounds like a chipmunk. He's the most blatant baritone ever if we go by speaking voice... Evil or Very Mad

This is definitely one of those OPs I regret making tbh Sad I made it around the time ''Let her Go'' was everywhere.

What kind of tenor has those passagios and having to enter a very heady mix live just to go into the 4th octave?

EDIT: Before people start, you gotta agree that it is strange.
