Eric Hutchinson

Eric Hutchinson
Tenor (Can hit C5 with relative ease and doesn't really go below the 3rd oct)
Recorded Range:
Sounds Like This: C3 -D5 (D5)
Moving Up Living Down: C3-D5 (C6)

Personal favourite of mine. His technique wasn't amazing on the first album (sounded like Billy Joel on helium) but his tone really improved on the second album. Very good songwriter IMO.

Significant Lows:
C3 (OK, It's Alright With Me, Outside Villanova, It Hasn't Been Long Enough, Lisa)
C♯3 (In The First Place)
D3 (Rock & Roll, All Over Now, You've Got You)

Significant Highs:
C6 (The Basement)
D5 (Rock & Roll, Lisa)
C5 (You Don't Have To Believe Me, Oh!, It Hasn't Been Long Enough, Back To Where I Was, The Basement)
B4 (You've Got You)
B♭4 (Outside Villanova)
A4 (on pretty much every other song at some point)

I've note watched both albums and have written down the highs and lows of each track so feel free to quiz me Smile

Generally just "Tenor" is considered sufficient.

(if only so everybody else doesn't pop a vein)

I'm so out of touch Banghead

Standard tenor was what I remember from the old forum and I guess it kind of stuck.

I shall remember in future.

The old forum was heinous. Please don't follow its example.

At the end of "Breakdown More" Eric hits harmony lows around B2, I think.

Does he hit the D5 in Rock and Roll in full voice? I was watching live from Daryl's house and Daryl asked him and he said yes, I always assumed it was head voice on the album.

I think it's full. He's more than capable of singing up there so I doubt he'd back out of it.
