I wonder were that first album is sourced from.
48000Hz is not a CD's sampling rate and the spectrogram doesn't look like 256kbps MP3.
Doesn't sound like it either.

I always thought the quality was rather dodgy myself, despite that people say the album was mixed poorly.

The Sampling rate of an audio cd is 44100hz (=22050Hz per channel as maximum frequency).
Thus someone must have upsampled the files - which results in zero audio enhancement, but increases file size.
Mp3 compression removes information from the source files,
most notably high frequencies, to make the file smaller.
The resulting compressed files (in this case) contain hardly any audio information above 15000Hz and none above 16000Hz.
So why would one compress a file to make it smaller, but upsample it - the only advantage being that frequencies up to 24000Hz could be contained.
Those frequencies are not inherent in the CD and in the mp3 doubly so.
Audible artifacts and the lack of a copious amount of high frequencies also suggest a much lower bitrate than 256kbps.
It just seemed odd to me.

I do not criticise the sound of the album itself, only that of this particular mp3 version.
My CD sounds great, despite guitars being too low in the mix.

Grooveshark has it.
Via GrooveDown you can download the whole thing.
I gave it a brief listen and the sound is decent.
If there should be any problems with that version I'll look for a way to share mine.

I love his singing in the last seconds of ''Heroes And Villains''. A perfect end for a perfect album.

Yes. T-Ride's music was never the greatest for the lyrical content.

I love their music, though. Especially the amazing, unreleased second album.
