New album

Post  StuartBuck on Wed Oct 08, 2014 1:44 pm

Martel's new solo album is out, and much of it sounds like Freddie Mercury reincarnated. OK, maybe slight exaggeration, but here are a few examples:

[note: he goes up to E-flat-5 in full voice -- not falsetto -- at 2:26]

[same E-flat-5 in full voice at 0:26 and 1:18]

[D-5 in full voice at 1:56]

Not any super high notes here, but this slow song is gorgeous:

Then just for fun, he shaved half his face and, almost all in one take, did a vocal duet imitating Pavarotti and Mercury singing Nessun Dorma (with a high B-4 at the end):

Highest note should now be B-flat-5. Bohemian Rhapsody, live. 3:17 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8GSjeBHyao
