1. Kate Bush- Coolest sustained note(s)- A lot of soft sustained F5s from "Moving", with great volume control too. http://picosong.com/RtZg/

2. Alison Goldfrapp- Best glissando- Definitely not what you'd expect from Alison: a banshee-esque slide up to loooong D6, with a nicely controlled slide down too. From "Slippage". http://picosong.com/RtBZ/
Full version of "Slippage:
3. Geike Arnaert- Most beautiful tone- An excerpt from "Out Of Sight", with some ethereal, effortless singing that also fits the (pretty damn beautiful) song well. http://picosong.com/RtKW/

1.

Vitas - Vitas holds the technical talent of a demigod, but I'm not the biggest fan of his sound. Still, a perfectly fitting choice for the clip-off! 3,5/5
Kate Bush - Beautifully executed, perfectly fitting for the song. 4/5

2.

Todd Rundgren - Ummm, now that was underwhelming. Wouldn't have noticed it, had it not been separated from the song context... 1/5
Alison Goldfrapp - Wow, that's nuts! 3,5/5

3.

Morten Harket - Morten's always possessed a very good vocal tone. This might not be my personal favourite of these examples, but it's yet another clip of some great singing by the Voice of Norway. 3/5
Geike Arnaert - Not my thing, although a very universally pleasant sound. A bit Björk-ish at places. 3/5

Wow. I'm starting to regret not choosing Vitas for this category: we could have had 2 glissandos to D6 head-to-head, but I decided that Vitas and Morten were so well suited to the other 2 categories (either way around) that poor old Todd Rundgren just got the leftovers Sad

Coolest sustained note(s):
Vitas: Not a fan of the sound but that was a loooooonnnnggg ass C♯5 and that fact that he still slide up from that was impressive. 4/5
Bush: She sounded nice altho I don't think the sustained notes were that impressive, good technique tho. 3.5/5

Best glissando:
Rundgren: Eh, it's.... okay for a random improv note. 2/5
Goldfrapp: Attack of the Human Theremin! Shocked Very impressive tho, strong and well supported. 4/5

Most beautiful tone:
Harket: Nice and soothing, sounds a bit darker than he was in a-ha (he's aged, of course), very pleasant and relaxing. 3.5/5
Arneart: Has the little girl quality to it, not really that pleasant to me, but the melody she's singing helps her out a bit. 2/5

Sustain
Vitas: Pretty impressive control here, not crazy about the sound but it deserves a good score nonetheless. 4/5
Kate Bush: Great tone, great song but it's not as sustained. 4/5

Glissando
Todd Rundgren: Technically qualifies but is otherwise boring. 1.5/5
Alison Goldfrapp: The effects on her voice make it hard to judge, but quite cool anyway. 3.5/5

Beautiful tone
Morten Harket: Hey this was cool, haven't really listened to Harket before. Nice warm tone and sounds quite matured. 4/5
Geike Arnaert: Ooh love this song and singer (as a side note, I actually bought this album a day after seeing your range video and hearing a few songs off it), plus she just has a very pleasant tone in this clip. 4/5

So yeah two ties here!Yeah!

-Best sustained note:

Vitas-------- Wow, finally I get to hear an instance of this dude sounding good and pleasant. Insane sustain, incredibly womanly sounding tone. Technically flawless and sound wise, pretty good I must say. 4/5

Kate Bush-----------Well, none of those fit the criteria of being longer than 5 seconds, but they sound pretty good and the volume control is technically impressive as well. Still, I think Vitas and his craziness deserve more credit here.3/5

--------------------------------------------------------------

-Best glissando:

Todd Rundgren--------Really short and kind of an insignificant almost non-sung "wooo", so... yeah Sad 1,5/5

Alisson Goldfrapp----------Shit that sounded alien like. Nice tone (just a little scratchy at the beginning) and pretty amazing sustain and then slide down at the end. 4/5

------------------------------------------------------------

-Most Beautiful Tone: The clip is not

Morten Harket------The Mediafire link doesn't work, had to listen to the whole thing. Smooth and gentle tone that reminded me a little of Chris Martin. I'm really digging Morten's voice but for some reason I didn't like the head voice in the chorus so much. Anyways, pretty neat tone. 3,5/5

Geike Arnaert--------------I'm sorry about this but apart from the higher vocals in the middle this sounds like the typical overproduced pop vocals. It does sound pretty gentle and beautiful indeed, but nothing really out or the ordianry or particualry captivating. Morten is nice but he isn't very impressive either so I guess it's a tie 3,5/5
