Rob Chapman

Post  bradphone on Tue Jul 30, 2013 6:52 pm

I dont know if a lot of people actually know him, He`s a singer/guitarist in a band called Dorje, and he does some guitarplaying in video`s for Andertons, he has his first and only album out, called Bare Bones, and i really liked the guy`s singing :)He seems to have an allright vocal range and a lot of power.

He has the timbre of a HB, but he doesnt seem to have a low range... but he does struggle on notes above G4, so i`m not too sure.

Rob Chapman.
Voice Type: Baritone
Vocal Range: C3-A5

High Notes:
A5 (" Tone range review of the CAP-10 " )
G5( "Phantom Power)
Eb5 ("The Monkey Lord`s Pizza Song" )
B4 ("Phantom Power" "Interview")
B♭4 ( "Phantom Power")
A4 ("Majesty" "Aeromancy ")
G#4 ("Mantra Of The Monkey Lord" Breath" "Phantom Power" "Follow The Valley" "The Monkey Lord`s Pizza Song")
G4 ("Breath" "Phantom Power" "Flash Flood")
F#4 ("Mantra Of The Monkey Lord" "Breath" "Tree Of Life" "Majesty")
F4 (" Mantra Of The Monkey Lord" "Breath" "Flash flood")
E4 ( "Breath" "Majesty ")

Low Notes:
C#3 ( "Mantra Of The Monkey Lord" "Breath" "Follow The Valley")
C3 ("Hi, I`m Rob.. interview")

At the 0:02 mark the "Hi, i`m Rob. C3"

At 1:03 he hits the B♭5

If anyone has some higher/lower notes, your input is always good Smile

Is it?...
You know i mean that whispery falsetto note right?
My ears fooled me, because it sounds like a good 5th octave note.

Freaking awesome A4 at the end of "Aeromancy". That Bb5 is definitely a Bb4 as well man.
4:33
There could be lower third octave stuff in this as well, I'm not too sure.

EDIT: Also, High Baritone. Bariton.

Well, that Bb4 is a shitty Bb4 then, never heard anyone hit such a whispery 4th octave note.

At 09:15, his voice relaxes and hits a REALLY weak E2.

Long time since I've actually posted on the forum but I found some awesome sounding notes of Rob's in a new vid of his.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEQgo3GirvI

C5 at 1:23
C5-D5 trill thing at 1:44

the very end passage of the video sounds fantastic D5's and C5's that sound super powerful

Bradphone, why did you abandon this thread? If you have, can you let someone else that actually wants this thread have it?

At 26:32, a thin slide. Pretty interesting video and there is some more singing. About to go through the whole video.

1:15, some falsetto toping at either C5 or C♯5

3:38, some more falsetto toping at C♯5 or D5

4:21, singing oping at F4 or F♯4 and maybe a G4 thrown in their.

10:59, some singing toping at some short A4's

11:27, a powerful note. Can't pitch.

15:38, some really good singing. Maybe a G4.

18:10, some amazing singing round A4.

EDIT: I just realized he does some exercises at 17:30 with one of the topping of at maybe an F5(!)
