Suck is a bit strong. I think overall he was a pretty good vocalist, but had bad technique (as if I give a fuck) and tasteless singing all over the place. As B6 said, he had a pretty nice voice

I mean, it can't be that bad as I actually listen to Nirvana fairly frequently. Suck is a strong word.

So due to that I choose Layne. Great band, great voice, great songwriter. Plus the range of emotion in his voice is fantastic.

i don't like his voice, way too deep

You mean Lanegan or Staley? 'Cause Staley's voice isn't deep at all
He means Lanegan. He's got a nice, dark baritone Mmm

Nirvana is probably my favorite grunge band (either that or AiC) but I voted for Staley because I think he's overall a better a singer than Kurt. Tbh all the singers here are great IMO, especially Vedder and Staley. Weiland is less original but still really good.
Agree with pretty much all of this except that I find Kurt's singing to be pretty tasteful, that's why he's one of my favorites.

Cornell is definitely my choice. I like Layne as well, though.

scott didn't really imitated the other guys, only on Core he sounds like vedder, layne and kurt, that may be why its STPs album that i less listen to, and Plush is surely their worst song to me. on every other album he sounds very original and unique, specially on Tiny Music and No.4.
shame drugs fucked him up
and sounding like other singers shows how versatile he is, he has been compared to Vedder, Morrison, Bowie, Layne...

i voted for Layne anyway.

It's a hard choice.

In terms of skill/technique/range, Cobain is definitely the worst of the bunch. But his vocals are so raw and emotive that I always get drawn in.

Cornell is a great vocalist, but a lot of the stuff he did with Soundgarden, excluding Superunknown, didn't interest me that much, for some reason. It might be grunge in terms of musical style, but the production is so clean that it doesn't feel like grunge.

I love the harmonies in Alice in Chains. Staley had the most versatile voice.

All in my opinion, obviously.

Mark Lanegan is the best singer of the nineties. Not in a technical sense, but emotion and he actually could belt his way through a song if he wanted to. But from those you've given me to chose from I'm gonna pick Layne because Jar Of Flies happened.

I literally just can't.. pick.. I love them all equally. I can't choose one over the other, my "favorite" changes all of the time.

i feel like Kurt is good, plus ad probably the biggest impact on the media
but chris cornell deffiantly has the best technique, and is more reliable live.
