A2 at :16. Shout-sung A4s at 2:17.

Elsewhere on the Australian Beauty and the Beast recording he sings B2s and F4s in 'Me'.

Notes from Carousel absent from OP: B2s in 'Soliloquy' and a F♯4 in 'If I Loved You'.

Q: Had you ever thought about playing Javert instead of Valjean?
A: Cameron asked me twice to do it! Both times I was not available, and when I rang him for the movie and said I wanted to go for Jean Valjean, he said, "Dude, you can't sing that." We had done Oklahoma together, and back then, I couldn't have sung that bit. I've been working about eight or nine years with a vocal coach, though, and although I thought I was a straight baritone, it turns out that I'm a high baritone and could expand my range by about an octave. So I said to Cameron, "I know you think that, but let me come in to audition. I want to show you what I can do now."

Voice type: Hugh Baritone

Is this like a joke because his name's Hugh or is it supposed to be High Baritone? And I could have sworn I hear him hit a Tenor high C one time.

Yes it's most likely word play with his name and the word High and how they are similar.

If that's the case, shouldn't he be able to get significantly higher than B4 and/or C5?

Theoretically I'm sure he could if he tried; but like with any singer; It's probably just a matter of how the vocals feel during/around the performance time.

My biggest issue with the Myles Kennedy thread right here, but it's still nice when you find those for any singer...

Vocally, this guy has come a long way, If memory serves, back in the early Oklahoma days he never went beyond like E♭4-F4. In the recent film if ''Les Mis'' he hits the most incredible A4s. Really proud of how far his voice has come.

Also, I would speculate he's totally capable of hitting C5 and possibly beyond, but I think musically he knows where his voice sounds good and he stays in that comfort zone.

He's screamed a C5 before, it might not sound the best but he hit the note none the less.

Facepalm Will you please stop quoting entire OPs to add a single note. We have told you soooooooo many times now that it's ridiculous. Why can't you just take this OP and copy and paste it to a word document or something and continue adding notes there instead of doing this EVERY TIME?
