Red Hot Chili Peppers (Guitarist)

Post  hummerhummer on Sun Mar 17, 2013 2:29 am

I know this is a vocal forum mainly but making polls about guitarists now and then is allowed isn't it?

No, it's forbidden. Only notes count.

IF YOU CAN'T FIND SIGNIFICANT HIGH NOTES THERE, YOU WILL BE BANNED

Fruscie, followed by Slovak, and then Navarro.

This poll is like asking "which was the best Guns N' Roses guitarrist: Slash or all the other guys?" Rolling Eyes

Hillel's pretty damn good; the songwriting with Fruscie and the diversity of style is better, though.

hmmmm.....we should create a section for guitarist's solo ranges.....eg,

Player Type: Medium Virtuoso
Playing Range: D2 - A7

Significant High Notes:
A7 "The Ballad Of Maxim and Ray"
E5 "Post A Reply", "Range Masturbatin' "
D5 "Live Solo 1998"

Significant Low Notes:
E2 "Master Of Puppets (live)"
D2 "I Am A Mod. You Are A Noob (live)",

.............
*Red marks extremely bad, unimpressive or unintentional notes.
*Violet marks non-fingerboard notes
*Blue marks harmonic notes
*Green marks bent notes.
*Italics marks probable non played or mimed notes

Klinghoffer in the last place, in any list.
It's like a drugged hipster doing an awful impersonation of Jack White had replaced Frusciante. I mean, c'mon, his guitar sounds like Jack White on cocaine!

Frusciante was the best.

Buckethead bro. Cool

And yeah Frusciante is their most interesting player, though Navarro is pretty cool sometimes.

I went to see these guys last year in June (I think) with my friend in D.C. Maxim was also there Smile
Klinghoffer wasn't terrible, but his soloing lacked the feeling that Frusciante had with his playing, and he liked his feedback a little too much... Cringe
So yeah, Frusciante #1, then Navarro, then Slovak, then Klinghoffer.

I like how everyone's just acting like Jack Sherman doesn't even exist. Laughing

I'm the Navarro fanboy of this forum. Something about the dude just appeals to me. Frusc's the guitar soul of the band, yet I found Navarro a rather cool replacement.

I agree, that Buckethead is a better guitarist than Slash but I said "the best Guns N' Roses guitarist", that means, "the best guitarist for Guns N' Roses" and Slash fitted in that band like no one would ever do.

Hillel is my favorite, but Frusciante is a close second.
