His G5 and B♭5 sound pretty black to me. Lots of good and mostly accurately pitched high notes by him in this video:

More G#2's in Venus in the Morning as well as an Eb5. He has TON of unlisted highs in the 5th octave in nearly every song.

Josh has the link to it somewhere, but when I heard it I wasn't sure it was actually an F2.

IIRC, there are some C♯5's, E♭5's and E5's in the last chorus of "S.O.S."!

It was about time to have his thread in TRP 2.0! Wink

I was thinking that his black range would probably extend farther because he does blend his upper range very well. I can definitely go with black for the G5. Unsure about the Bb5 myself, but I'll go with whatever the consensus turns out to be. Thanks for the video, btw.

Cheers And yeah, I hear the notes you're referring to and added them.

Alright, if you're that convinced, then black it is.

Actually, they are D5's instead of E♭5's. Laughing

I'm really unsure if that's an E5 or an F5. You think that's an E5, that just touches on F5? Because that's what I suspect.

Tons of C♯5's in "Eternity", and an E♭5 at the end of the song. Also E♭5's in "Uncertainty".

Timestamp for the E♭5's:

Eternity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnH46jE5odo#t=6m38s

Uncertainty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXCkSMTPuu0#t=5m17s

By the way, you forgot to separate the high notes section from the lows section. Wink

Thanks, great notes in "Uncertainty", haven't listened to Episode in years, had forgotten about that song completely. Good catch on the significant highs/lows too, can't believe I forgot that. Durrr
